A damn good song, just like everything on Bella Donna. I especially love the video where she lips the wrong line.

There's cocaine? I'll need to watch for that.

There's a single CD that's on eBay a lot called Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Playback Excerpts that has Tom's version of SDMHA without Stevie's vocal. I think I got mine for about $5. Best I can tell, she just went in and did the vocal over the existing track.

It's so noticeable but I think she's singing it live while the recorded track was dubbed over it later. She just keeps right on going.

I like it. I would rather it be dropped from the set list though. Only perform it again with Tom.

I love the video. Stevie looks so beautiful.

Bella Donna? On TISL Tour? That would have had disaster written all over it. She could barely handle SDMHA for some perofmrnaces on that tour let alone Bella Donna.

I disagree. The pace of Bella Donna seems more forgiving in most parts.

she always does better on the slower songs.. if you think back in recent years to all of her great performances, they all have been ballads (Silver Springs, Beautiful Child, Beauty And The Beast, etc)... she has been struggling with the faster songs vocally for awhile... its not that she cant hit the notes, its that she has difficulty hitting them at a fast pace...

Well most of the song is not too hard to sing but there are about 3 or 4 points in the song in which she would not be able to hit. Stop Draggin in the TISL key is easier to sing than dreams.

When I first got Bella Donna, I loved this song! But I think over time, I have just wore it out. The studio version bores me, the live versions bore me...I just don't care for it anymore. But that's not to say, I don't like watching it be performed...cause I love anything when I'm actually watching Stevie, but as for just listening to it...it's boring to me now.

I disagree. Fall From Grace, Edge of 17, Rock and Roll, Edge of 17, even Outside the Rain all in one night and shes been doing a fine job.
