My vote is NO.

This type of thing does nothing but create the exact kind of drama that is unhealthy and unnecessary. Especially around here, given the tone of many of the postings recently.

Thumbs up

Hawkeye, I think it's a fun idea. Defending eachother or voting eachother out with subjective reasons makes it fun to play, and can make some great discussion. I was number 11 to vote yes so, you need only one more. Let all those oversensible ledgies think what they want. Because 75-80 percent think it's not a good idea, does not mean you shouldn't do it, like Johnny Stew wants you to believe. If 20% of this board wants it, it's completely valid to do so. H*ll, even if it was 5 percent.

I promise to use lots of "smilies" when I vote you off.

Of course I'm just kidding.

Let me just quickly point out that you are high. Also, that you may be high. As if there could be objective reasons for your opinion on someone's personality. Only a high person would think that.
Let me also say, that if by some DevilInstigated, godforsaken chance that this does happen, Under no circumstances do I want my name in there.

let me point out quickly that I want to be high also that I like to be high but I am certainly sober. If my cripple english makes it only readable as if one could argue objective then I'm sorry, I'm dutch and my english isn't perfect but i'm not totally brainless. We play games here and those are fun. We're in a virtual world over here and that makes this wicked idea possible. I simply like the idea, it is a game, not real life and a clash of words-not people. I love that, also if your name is not on the playlist.

I wasn't talking about your syntax, or grammar, love, I was talking about your idea, which it seems to me only someone high would endorse.
I just don't think there is any such thing possible as an "objective" judgement of someone's personality via posts. The words people use represent them, as people, I don't see that separation is really possible.
Also, I think it is just begging for people to be cruel, and for people's feelings to get hurt.
It's cool if you think that is a good idea - I mean, it's not cool, but I'm not the boss of you or anything.

I say no. But then I'm the A-hole responsible for Stevie being voted off of FM Survivor. There's a mess of people wanting my hide voted off!

I'm pretty sick of all the freaking Survivor threads ... period.

Is this the only game it's possible to play on a message board?

I think it's a bad idea, and I certainly wouldn't want to be a contestant. I think too many might have their feelings hurt, so why risk it?

Would you say that to Bob Dylan?

Steven MacDougal, Ledgie of the Year.
Steve, did I ever tell you about the liquor store in Nashville, TN? Frugal MacDougal's. Got a giant Scotsman on the sign. I think of it everytime I see your name! Frugal MacDougal!

Oh, that's not an option...oops.

I'm gonna be one of THOSE Ledgies...and say no. It's a regular Pandora's Box, if ya ask me.

I'd tell Bob Dylan to kiss my ass! He stole one of the key members of my favorite country band, BR5-49, thus disabling their vehicle, and leaving them stranded on the side of the road! They're on haitus now, until Bob's done with him.

well i may be alien, but If shackin'up is bashed over here, gerald's not. Come on, of course it is possible to hurt peoples feelings, but we do now too, obviously. I understand it when you don't like the idea, but in a game-environment I simply don't see big problems.

yes, steve's a hero. One of my fave albums of all time is called McDougal Blues. I frequently read "steve" before the title.
Oh if you don't know it: it's by Kevn Kinney and it's friggin brilliant.
