Ok, does anybody have a visual for this pegged jeans thing? I'm curious!

Oh yeah, and we'd wear them with those long ass shirts
This reminds me of those plastic rings people wore to knot their shirts up at the bottom. I predict those will be back in like 2 years

I don't, but I'll try to explain. Back in the olden days (the late 80's ) it was not cool to have wide leg pants. Either you bought them tapered tight all the way down the leg or you pegged/folded/pinned them tight. You fold the hem of your jeans over to make them tight on your ankle. Then you start to roll them up. 2 or 3 rolls should do it. Sometimes they stay, other times you need to safety pin them. Absurd, I know. We looked like a bunch of assholes.

ACCKK! You take that back! Next thing you know you'll be predicting the return of stirrup pants!

Oh my god! I feel so old now. Pegging jeans was the thing to do back in the 80's. Here's a picture (it's not great but you sorta get the idea.)

did you notice that boys often pinned theirs, while girls usually had "the roll"? You know, statistically more likely. It was better to just buy the guess jeans that were super, super tight on the bottom and had zippers.

WAX. Everyone should use it instead of that heinous gel, which I will take away from everyone when I am Supreme Dictator. It doesn't cost much more and doesn't make your hair all nasty.

The day gel is banished from the public is the day that I stomp my bloody feet with joy and wail like a ninth-grade Bay City Rollers groupie.

:hurl: Stirrup pants were just not flattering. Paula, you described the peg thing well, also, picture the high top sneakers with big scrunched up socks that connect the top of the sneaker to the bottom of the pegged jeans, maybe with a little of your shins showing. Oh what a look that was. We used to wear these long knit shirts over them. Or, in my case, a Whitesnake t-shirt or something like that. Oh yeah, and in the early 80's it was pointy shoes with little socks that had lace trim, another fantastic look. Oh we had tons of 'em.

Yeah, I had a Whitesnake Tshirt too. And Bon Jovi. And Metallica. And Megadeth. The list goes on & on. Ditto on the hightop sneakers too.

Oh, so it's just folding them up. See, "pegged jeans" sounded more complicated somehow . Thankfully I missed the boat on all this stuff. I was probably too busy with slap bracelets and L.A. Gear.

Aaahhh, not stirrup pants!

No, you have to fold them over, and then roll them, so they are at maximum tightness. like, uh, sheet corners or something. It actually was complicated to keep them rolled.
