Default Off to see the wizard......

Well, here goes, a nice little 2 week adventure. Everyone, I'm off tomorrow for 2 weeks to see the wizard of AZ. Get it? Here's the list of shows I'll be at

7-13, Tampa
7-14, Fort Lauderdale
7-16, Houston
7-17, Dallas
7-20, Red Rocks
7-23, San Diego
7-24, Anaheim
7-26, Universal City

I really hope to see you all somewhere along this trail. I just want to share a little story with all of you, as to the meaning of this trip for me. I was 15 when the Red Rocks video came out, and I swore if she ever played there again, I wasnt going to miss it. Well, now almost 20 years later, it's happening. There will be some tears shed by yours truly that night. I guess I'm a sentimental fag. LoL. If any of you wanna look for me at a show, It's not hard to notice my car. It's Minnesota liscense plate FMACFAN, and I've got 2 bumper stickers on either side of it. One I had made says I Love Fleetwood Mac with love being a heart and 2 penguins on either side, and the other says I can still hear you saying you would never break the chain. I am so grateful to be able to share nights with a woman who has given me so much over the last 28 years, even though I've never met her, and probably never will, I feel like Stevie is an old friend I visit every day. I hope that doesnt sound too corny?

Take care all,
David

Thats great David!

Its wonderful that you can go to so many shows. I wish I could do that! lol

Did you miss her during the 91 tour? She played Red Rocks there on that tour and hit there for the Behind the Mask tour, where they recorded the Skies the Limit video. I remember reading when they were taping the video that she was smoking on stage and then someone yelled out Beautiful Child and she sang the first line from it and the place went wild.

Just a story i read about.

Where'd you get all the money to go do that?!?!?!
And why the hell didn't you stop at any of the MA shows LOL! You were close at the time to go see them but they arent on the list. Too bad you could have gone and seen the Boston taping on 9-23-03 for free. Looks like you were in the area.

Well, It was kind of a matter of timing. Late in the 2003 tour, I was running short on money, ( I think You can figure out why ) so for the Kansas City, Grand Forks, Chicago and Omaha shows, I drove to see the show and then drove all night back to Minneapolis after. I wouldve loved to come to that Boston taping though. I was out east for all that stuff that went on in late may/early June with Stevie, so that's the reason for the gap between Holmdel and Scranton shows. I almost came up to Mansfield for the May 28th show, but I didnt wanna deal with the New York Traffic. Just a hick from the midwest I guess. BTW, not that you care, But I'm a HUGE Boston Red Sox fan. Have been since 1977, the same year I started liking FM. Been there 5 times to see them

Wow I'm so excited for you. I want to come back as David in my next life. It would be a dream come true to go on a road trip and follow Stevie all over the country. Well maybe one day, when my hair is silver gray (but wait, she'll be dead by then ) Have a wonderful time! I'll be in SD and Los Angeles. Come back with lots of great stories. I wish I could join you!

Have fun! And, no, what you said isn't corny at all. Many of us feel that way. I'll be there at Red Rocks with you!

It has always been my dream to see Stevie at Red Rocks as well....I think it's going to be a magical night. According to my calendar, the moon will be full. Other calendars say the full moon is the 21st...either way, there's going to be sparks in the air.
