You're right. For the most part "good old time" rock and roll makes me gag. It needs to be pissed off or depressing.

I've heard plenty of Frampton and Skynard, but they do nothing for me.

Practically any Sheryl Crow song. Soak Up The Sun makes me want to rip my eyeballs out and throw them at her.

AMEN! I can't stand basically ANY of the hip hop or rap songs these days... I keep praying that it's just a phase and the good stuff will dominate the charts one day soon again

This one I'd have to disagree with, mainly because Duran Duran is my second favorite band, lol "The Reflex" is just pure cheesy 80s fun, which is what's so great about it.

Basically I hate most modern music that is currently on the Hot 100 list, with the obvious exceptions of Gwen Stefani, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand etc...; I *despise* Green Day. Rap too, for the most part.

I also hate the song Everywhere (by FM obviously). Seriously, it sounds like elevator music. I dont know why it was a single. Isn't It Midnight should have been the hit single instead. Oh Diane is a pretty awful song too. But not nearly a bad as Only Over You. That song makes me gag.

I dont care what ANYone thinks, I LOVE that song.

there's plenty of mediocre songs to vent yer spleen on but NOT THAT ONE!
LEAVE EUROPE ALONE! Go mangle ABBA, they deserve it!
I'd rather mangle Europe than ABBA. ABBA's got "Dancing Queen." That was great until A*Teens ruined it.

Who can resist a song with these lyrics?

"He starts to shake and cough

I guess someone can.

Hello - Lionel Richie (can't get that stupid video out of my head when I hear it)

Black or White - Michael Jackson

I Believe I Can Fly - R. Kelly

Don't Stop - Mac

Lights - Journey (and I LOVE me some Journey, but I can't stand this tune)

Nirvana - Come as You Are

Can't think of any more right now. I must agree, that new Jessica Simpson "Boots" cover is atrocious. Painful to hear. And I always thought she was OK, very pretty girl, decent role model. Have you seen the video for this song? WTF? Somehow, sometime, somewhere she became a gigantic hooch. She looks like a ho-ah.

Most of Chrissie Hynde's solo stuff has been atrocious, too. I think that artists in punk bands get kinda light when they go solo, etc. I also hate pretty much all new country, and christian rock. I do like some rap, but pretty much the old stuff only. Kanye West is an exception. <3
Not even Koo Koo?

We don't really get Christian rock in the UK. When I think about Christian rock I think either Stryper or that movie Saved.

I think I'm one of the few who actually likes Everywhere and Isn't It Midnight, not so much.

And why does everyone hate grunge so much! The grunge-era was great! My favourites from that time Sonic Youth - Dirty, Pearl Jam - Vs, Nirvana - In Utero, Soundgarden - Louder Than Love, Hole - Pretty On The Inside, Screaming Trees - Sweet Oblivion, Afghan Whigs - Gentlemen and Dinosaur Jr - Where You Been...
Ah good memories...
