I guess I am torn here because no one plays like Peter.

I suppose covers are okay - but I got the impression that they were trying to hoodwink with Bekka and LB for that matter.

Again, both Bekka and LB are great and this is not to take away from that.

Sex? Hmmm, alright. But for me those are a VERY daring coverversions. Playing that song ON HIS OWN (guitarwise, ofcourse) and rock out so friggin' hard. Respect. ( is that sex, Nance? No I guess not. respect is more on the other side. Hm sex? Gonna listen again tonight.

Hey, a talented man is very sexy. But I'm a flesh-and-blood woman and you can bet when I hear Lindsey's bluesy voice on that, I'm going to think "OH, so hot" and it's going to at least temporarily override his daring conventions.

I will say I believe much of Lindsey's guitar playing is very sexual. It's part of his brilliance how he can turn more women on by ramming out the ISA solo than most men can do stripping naked. He's said before that the emotion in his songs is from the music, not the lyrics. One of those emotions is passion, and he conveys it very effectively. Not easy to do, but that's why he's Lindsey Buckingham.

There's a version he does on Largo 1975 that's hot, as well as Japan 1977. They were torrented on dimeadozen a little bit ago and wow, they were some awesome shows. However, Lindsey does seem pretty ridiculous trying to do "Station Man" with the gang in Largo. That's one where it's not happening, and he himself expressed resentment later that he was forced to play it.

Okay I read you here: I understand the "sexthing" completely, on a lot of songs like ISA, NTF GYOW etc. I just did not have that with Oh well.

And yeah, that Largothing... I don't own a dvdburner and my harddrive is only 10GB. Mostly in use....

if you have a cdburner you can turn it into a vcd.. quality is less of course, but not too bad. I did that with some videomaterial from the net.

At least you don't appear to be one of the ones that has no justifiable reason for *disliking* Stevie, other than "she takes time away from Lindsey's songs" or she somehow damaged Lindsey's solo success. Yep, I'm sure had it not been for Stevie, Lindsey would be at the top of the charts with songs such as It Was I or the studio version of Go Insane. Uh huh, yep, right. Damn Stevie for getting in the way of that!

I'm one of those "Mason-lovers" (or Masonites, as we're called), and I voted for him, too. In fact, I ran the very first Dave Mason website many moons ago. I love his work. I have all of his solo albums and his Traffic albums. His songs on "Time" were a real let-down. So no apology needed. If "Time" were all I knew about Dave Mason, I doubt I'd consider buying any of his stuff. BTW, you HAVE to get "Alone Together" by Dave Mason. THAT is what Mick was hoping for. (Hey, Lindsey even credits that album as the biggest influence on his songwriting.)
