BTW..after your husband drops dead from the years of misery he has endured dealing with your pleasant personality, make sure you stay far far away from the money your man paid into SS that his little ones would be entitled to collect. I'm really sick of having to step in because people gay bash and such. It's really old. And now this thread is like 28 pages and I can't go thru each page now because I work today ( and tomorrow and the 4th, in fact I work 65 hours 7 days a week) and so those who really are offended, please email me. I will close this thread before I leave. If we can make peace, like some are really trying to do, cool.

BUT THERE IS NO GAY BASHING on these boards. I am really tired of it.

Pretty soon we will just ban you at the first mention of it....because it's disgusting.

I think people come around for the purpose of gay bashing at times because they know it's not okay here (against board guidelines and very unpopular as well) and that the numerous gay posters are likely to not take it well. Gays are an easy target here.

I don't care about "gay bashing". It doesn't hurt my feelings one bit. If they want to sound idiotic, it's their business. I take it with a grain of salt. It doesn't affect my life in any way. It's a message board...they want attention....that's all....to stir up trouble....and we take the bait every single time.

Maybe I'm being foolish, but I figure if we're playing the game as well it's just as harmless. But honest gay bashing (actually being genuine about it) is against the rules. But if no one's actually being serious, what's the harm in taking the bait, if that's what you want to call it? I know you are very sensitive about ppl being rude to homosexuals. I love you for that...someone has to be. If not, we would be further back than we are now.

For me, though, I name call and make fun of heterosexuals all the time. Of course they are not the minority, but I think that if I bash them and their lifestyle, then I have no right to get upset and angry when they bash mine. That's where I am coming from. I don't want "special treatment" on this board because I am gay cuz we all know I make fun of straight ppl all the time.

Curtis, I am a moderator, that's what I do.

I honestly don't have time to post very much. I work alot and I am never home.

But I do try to take time each day to make sure all is running smoothly but after that, I don't have time to post for fun. My life is no fun. Fun is not in my vocabulary right now.

I am sorry my coming in is offensive to you, but this thread was REPORTED to me because SOMEONE was very offended but Johnny Stew took care of things without me knowing so I just made a nice big ass of myself. So all is well.

It's rather bizarre, ain't it?

How can someone moderate a message board without keeping pretty current on reading it? In order to moderate properly, you would need to know the personalities & styles of the people who use the board as well as have a strong feel for the overall atmosphere -- the give & take that the regs engage in -- so that you would know what they're serious about & what they're just joking about. You'd also need to be able to recognize one-time-pop-in trolls from the regs. You need to engage in fairly frequent conversation on the board, too, so that the rest of the board comes to know you.

I don't know how janet can do any of that. In fact, I don't think she can. To just show up every four or six months in order to wag a finger & close a thread is sort of ... goofy? at best, pointless?
