What exactly has Stevie said about the "Rhiannon Project"??

I can't see Stevie being an actress. Maybe, if this movie actually happens, there could be a cameo or something. Or Stevie could play the Queen! Maybe it could be a musical. I don't know but I think Stevie may be able to hook up with someone and write a script that is loosely based on Rhiannon...

Wow, I can't imagine anyone but Barbeau in that movie.

Didn't she say around the time Gypsy was filmed that she would never want to be an actress because she wouldn't take direction easily?

Ah...well, she has Stevie beat in that category! I really can't imagine Stevie as an actress and especially in a John Carpenter film.

She has referred to Sorcerer as one of the Rhiannon songs. I don't know if that includes the musical, though.

That one episode where she goes to see a shrink and performs that monologue for 22 minutes straight without stopping proved what a rare, brilliant woman she is. I couldn't believe what I was watching when I saw it for the first time! It was even more brilliant than the episode of Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman where Martin Mull stared into the camera for 15 minutes straight.

BombaySapphire3, where did you learn that interesting information? I recently rented The Fog, but I did not watch the commentary; maybe the director said it there. I don't know how Stevie would have been as an actress, but her voice would have been perfect for where the character is talking all sexy into the microphone.

Had no idea -- how wild is that! I know at one brief point in the late 1970s, there was talk of Nicholas Roeg directing a "Rhiannon" movie. Someone even wrote a screenplay that Stevie allegedly read, & she thought it was too much "X" & too little "Y." She told the press that getting a screenplay for a proposed "Rhiannon" movie would have to balance between spaciness & corniness, & couldn't be either one.

If "Rhiannon" ever turns into anything (& it's been almost 30 years since the project was proposed), maybe just an album with some Stevie art.
