I agree. Save the movie project for when you can't/won't tour anymore, Stevie. I'm having a hard time picturing a Rhiannon movie with a soundtrack consisting of Stevie and her friends (i.e. Sheryl, Don, Tom, Lindsey, Maines, Carlton, Isaak, etc.), but that's just moi.

All of this is great news. I thought FM might be over, but it sounds like they've got at least one more cd and tour ahead. I'm not thrilled about Vanessa Carlton. Oh well. The movie sounds cool. I can't believe Mick told Chris she couldn't play on SYW. What a dick. Chris has been with FM since the 60s and she doesn't want to go on tour one time. Big f*cking deal. He's a piece of work, if that's true. They probably lost a few fans too because of that decision.

Stevie!

Well, I don't know the specifics about Vanessa Carlton or anything surrounding her career, but if she did get dropped from her label it wouldn't surprise me. I don't think she's particularly talented. Her voice is thin and whiny and her songs are really boring and uninteresting. There was a Time Warner Cable commercial here in Austin that featured Vanessa BUTCHERING the Stones' tune "Time is On My Side" Every time it came on it was like nails on a chalkboard. Her CLUNK-CLUNK-KERPLUNK plodding piano (sounded like a 5 year old just learning how to play) accompanied by that horrendous voice of hers made me wanna pop open a fresh vein in a warm bathtub.

Boy, I love ya.

Vanessa Carlton is under the impression that if she plays piano and adds strings to EVERY ****ING SONG, then she's a mature and classy artiste. Bitch plz. She sounds just like Stevie when she plays the piano: a little kid that was given too much sugar and was then let loose in the front parlor where the piano sits.

Of course silly. You see, it's just that, well, I like artists with talent and I know that's scarce these days but couldn't Stevie come up someone else?

Would be cool if she finally has the opportunity to make that dream of hers a reality.

At the very least, we might get a "Rhiannon" concept album out of it!
She'd mentioned it as early as 1977...I recall reading stuff about a "Rhiannon" movie STARRING Stevie Nicks as early as that.

Might take that long for Lindsey's end-of-the-year 2004/early-spring 2005 album to be released!
What about his early 1995/late 1996 solo album?

I know you're goading me...but let me just say this: whiny kids need to stay away from pianos because I don't give one flying f*ck what they have to say. There. Done.
