Yeah, I could not care less about the movie - I just want the soundtrack for the movie. Although I'm happy to see Stevie at Red Rocks this year, I'd rather she got her ass in the sudio and recorded a new LP, AND finished her album remasters (she said we'd have them this year).

Touring is great and all, but I'd like to hear something new, instead of countless live versions Stand Back, Outside The Rain and Edge.

I can't believe that! I never really knew that, I always guessed it.

Well if you think about it, it's a good and bad choice if you think about it.
I still Would have let her have a song or two. And call her a special guest. Maybe a duet or something. She IS Fleetwood Mac. She shouldnt be forced to tour, and at the same time she shouldnt be forced to not be on an album.

Do you think "In the Meantime" is full of 'Say You Will' leftovers?
They were working together since before 'The Dance' and all...

What studio is going to pony up the cash for a movie based on an obscure, mythical creature that only Stevie Nicks has been singing about for thirty years? That's the question. From what I gather in that article, she says it's a dream of hers, not something that is going to happen.

Amen! Especially because her voice sounds so great right now. I would rather have another Solo album before a new FM album.

Who knows? Have you seen any of the schlock that SciFi Channel has produced in the last few years? *cough*EarthSea*cough* Just because she said "movie" doesn't mean a studio/theater release. Hell, it could wind up on Lifetime.

But the article says she's going to purse her dream (again) this year. But I guess Stevie could just be blowing smoke (or fairy dust) again...

For some reason, I don't think Stevie will go for any of that. I expect the reaction to one of those prospects to be along the lines of her reaction to being asked to record Don't Come Around Here No More.

I don't know what to think about this movie talk. When there's a producer or studio attached to it - I'll start counting chickens but for now, yeah it's probably just another pipe dream.

And I don't know a thing about Vanessa Carlton or what she sings like but I'm happy Stevie wants to share the stage with her. And I love the way Stevie is so concerned for these artists that get dumped by their labels if everything they do isn't gold. She's really becoming the fairy godmother to these discarded stars. Plus I'm SO DAMN TIRED of the same presentation of the same damn songs on every tour that to hear her sing with somebody different sounds like it'll be a better show. At least I hope it'll be better.

Yeah I also think she should open every show with Wild Heart.

amen. I'm not a huge V fan, but I enjoy her and appreciate her writing some of her own stuff and being able to rip up the piano on top of being an accomplished dancer. So she's not everyone's taste? Can't please everyone and I'm sure it's a thrill for V to do this with one of her idols.

Great article.

I think the first time Stevie mentioned to the press that she'd like to do a film based on the "Rhiannon" stories, was back during the 'Tusk' press junket.
Would be cool if she finally has the opportunity to make that dream of hers a reality.

At the very least, we might get a "Rhiannon" concept album out of it!

I'm happy to hear that Stevie hasn't closed the book on her Fleetwood Mac involvement... though, given their history, thinking they'll work together again within the next two years might be a bit optimistic!
Might take that long for Lindsey's end-of-the-year 2004/early-spring 2005 album to be released!

As for Vanessa Carlton touring with her... I think that could be a really cool thing. Of course, I'm not one of the fans whose claws come out anytime Stevie's sharing the stage (Don and Sheryl-hate, anyone?

).

All in all, she sounds like she's in great spirits, and seems to be completely past whatever it was that was dragging her down over the last few years.

After all these years she's still talking about these Rhiannon movies. She really seems to want to do this. It sounds important to her so I hope she gets to, I just can't imagine the final product or what her involvement would be, exactly. I'd rather see the autobiography (and a new album) first.

Sounds like Vanessa may be doing more than just opening for her. I can take her or leave her, but the prospect of Stevie singing on some different stuff is exciting. Can't wait to hear how the first solo show goes!
