But keep in mind you'll actually be hearing MORE Stevie stuff, because her set will be longer without Don. Though I have to say it's GREAT to hear her singing some new, non-standard material with him.
Also, you're right that she has a good chance of going *nuts* on closing night. She's got nothing to lose at that point!

Our highest price ticket is only $85, too, which is cool.

That's what I'm worried about to that my the end of July she may have lost some of that energy Well at least my show is before yours hee hee!
Also, when I first heard she was touring with Don I was so disappointed. I'm not a fan of his and I'd rather her not have to share the stage with anyone but after hearing about the shows, hearing bootlegs, and how energized she is a part of me actually thinks it would be cool to see them together (although if I had my choice I'd still rather see her solo). I almost died when I heard her duet on NY Minute. I LOVE that song and it's so freakin cool to hear her sing songs live that are not her songs. It was the first time I think I've ever heard her do someone else's song live (that she didn't record). I actually screamed in the car!

Yep, that was what I was thinking when I heard about the tour too. Actually, I just wanted her to get back in the studio and record some new music. But now that I've seen the show, it's hard to object to something that seems to give her -- and as a result us -- so much joy.

How rude of me, I didn't thank you for the great review

I may one of the few people left on this board who has very little desire to see the Two Voices concert. I'm enjoying the reviews and pics, and certainly sounds like the show is much better than I expected. But when it comes to my time and money, a shortened Stevie set is not appealing.

Then again, the added songs are just going to be ones I'll complain about like INTK and HAEWFY.

Honestly..I figure the amount of time we see Stevie is on par to her solo shows. The show runs a good three hours. Maybe 2 hours and 45 minutes with the stage break down but Stevie is around alot. They break it up just enough so the Nicks fans dont get bored with Don and vice versus.
I was really down about this tour but now I would rather see it than a solo show. She is happier than any solo venture I have ever seen. These shows make it even MORE glaringly obvious how subdued she was at the SYW shows. Not sure why that is but everything about her is wayyyy more relaxed now. Perhaps she is having more than ONE tequila shot before each show?

could be... i have to agree, though... i think she puts herself out more when the pressure is off... i like the way she is when she is not alone... when there is someone else there to share the stage with her... it's usually always a fine performance

I agree with you. Don turned on the smiles more at this show than the other two that I attended. I also agree with your assessment of Don taking Stevie's hands as she was counting. She was being suggestive/funny and he was being funny back.

Stevie rocked Hotel California and Don did a fabulous job on Gold Dust Woman, with Stevie coming in doing back up at times, "and goooooo hooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmme". The drummer is amazing. I want to give him special props. Gold Dust Woman depends on the cadence of the drummer, and this new gentleman delivers.

I agree, Stevie is definitely looking happier on the solo tours. Some folks speculate she was pulling back a bit to give Lindsey time to shine since he was essentially releasing his solo album via Fleetwood Mac. Some folks said she had health issues going on. Some said she was angry about the sequencing of the album. Mick did indicate there was something that happened prior to the start of the tour that threatened it's happening. Who knows. We may never find out what goes on behind the curtain.

What seems clear is that Stevie looks fit, happy and puts on an incredible energized show. I agree with another poster who says this is an amazing band. Perhaps this is because a lot of them were already up and running with Stevie during the Fleetwood Mac show. Stevie specified Brett and Carlos as having been through all the shows with FM, and Jana did a fair share. "And didn't miss a note." Stevie and Waddy did a great job picking out the new drummer and pianist.

Speaking of Waddy, he seems to be having a good time, joking around with both Stevie and Don. Last night Stevie called Waddy "the love of her life," and continues to come up with a funny new title for him at each show. They seem to be very good friends and Waddy has the band charged up. I hope this tour DOES last until December, and gives more people a chance to see them. I've read on fan sites there's a chance of Don coming back to do more shows with Stevie after The Eagles finish the Hotel Calfornia tour. Has anyone heard any more about that?

I'm going to Reno just to see La Nicks. I loathe that freakin' city and the flight there is bumpy as hell. She better go all out, bitches.

What seats were you in? I was also in the 4th row!

I am working on my review and hope to post later tonight

I read somewhere that the promotors like the Don/Stevie bill and are hoping to push it again next summer. As far as him joining her again this winter..I doubt it. His priority seems to be the Eagles.

I seriously have a feeling you were near me toward the end of the night but I couldn't remember what you looked like. We were in section C1 in seats 3 and 4 (more toward the center of the row). Where were you??

Right beside you!!! I had seat 5

I had a crazy feeling that someone from this board was beside me . . .

I was so wanting to do the Edge rush, but our row was soooo tiny I wasn't sure I could make it up without climbing over the three rows in front of us!

I felt like someone else was behind you in row 5, too, but I wasn't quite sure who it was.

I KNEW THAT WAS YOU! I always feel like such a dip when I say something to someone and then it's not the person. I wish I had known! The two guys behind me...they knew Torri and someone else sitting in the front row. He introduced himself to me as Julio but I didn't get the second guys name. They were cracking me up though...totally all about Stevie.

You should have gone up! I was too lazy to move and after someone lit up behind us, I started to get a headache. Justin, who purchased my other ticket from me (he's blinker12) went up and ended up shaking her hand (i'm assuming he passed right by you).

Too funny...
