Are you saying Stevie is going around implying everyone is jealous of her? I haven't really heard her say that, except for a few stories that have been related about Lindsey's behavior a few times over the years. And friction may imply jealousy. I think most of whoever Stevie worked with were not jealous of her, but I think some people were. Maybe not constantly, but definitely jealous, none the less. But, whatever, maybe someone who agrees with you will understand your post better?
People who know what Stevie's been saying since she was in Fritz know what I'm talking about.

Okay. I know what Stevie has been saying since she was in Fritz, and I came to different conclusions.

That's perfectly understandable.

It's much more likely that Don (I can't speak about Stevie...I don't follow her) doesn't want photographic fodder for tabloid magazines out there. Imagine a photo of them slow-dancing and the headline that would appear in the STAR.

Don is an incredibly giving and humble guy. While he does stand up for himself when the occaision warrents it, it's nearly impossible to hear him muttering...

I don't think he's jealous either.I can't figure why there's this embargo for photographers, but it wouldn't help at all to keep images away from tabloids, IMO, if that's the reason. I didn't know what to think about this tour before it started but now I'm really glad they had this idea. The way they sing together gongs like Hotel California, New York Minute or Circle Dance is haunting, IMO. I wasn't crazy about Don Henley before 'Two Voices', but now I respect him as a performer and his music more.

Apparently, Don has been incredibly gracious already...allowing Stevie her choice of performance order and other things she's asked for. That doesn't sound like someone acting out of jealousy.

Just the two cents from this side of things.

So maybe you can clear some things up, & btw, I never thought about jealousy. I'm just curious b/c I hadn't heard this "allowing Stevie her choice of performance order & other things she's asked for." And you heard all this where & what other things did she's ask for?

And I don't understand why he didn't want to pose with her in front of photograhers even if it was just publicity shots for their short tour. Don't you think people in the audience snapped some shots of them together when they were hugging during the show, maybe even some Ledgies? And I'm sure these pictures will be circulating & wind up on Ebay, & who knows, maybe the National Enquirer.

Have you seen the Eagles live? I'm just curious as to how Don performs with just the Eagles.

The article never said which artist is behind the ban on pictures of the two of them.

I'd say that it's just as likely -- if not more--that it is Stevie's idea. Henley comes across as gruff, but he doesn't seem like someone who really cares about his public image.

Then we have Stevie--someone who canned her Stand Back video because she thought she was fat, ridiculously and obviously redid her closeups for Red Rocks and Tango In The Night, and clearly made sure that the majority of closeups from Live in Boston are from her neck up.

I'm not sure what the reasoning would be, but my money is on Stevie.

The AP Archives have more than a dozen professionally-shot pics of Stevie from the 'Say You Will' tour, and professional photographers were also allowed to take photos in Vegas. So I doubt she'd suddenly put a ban on them... especially when she seems to be feeling really good about herself.

But I'm not saying it's Don's "fault" either. Perhaps it's just a mutual agreement they came to, for a reason not even related to vanity.

According to Glenn Frey, we've seen the Eagles 700 times. In reality it's more like 70. Don is usually very quiet during Eagles shows because Eagles shows are about the band, not him. Glenn is the band spokesperson and emcee so he does all the talking and Don does very little.

At solo shows, though, he is a different person. He's funny. He's chatty. He tells stories. He talks to the audience. We haven't seen Don and Stevie yet so we're reserving judgement, but it sounds like he's off a little bit or he's letting her have the spotlight because he's a gentleman.

As for photos.....when the tickets say "no cameras" Don fully expects there won't be any cameras in the audience. He's not a big fan of having flashes go off in his face all night. He says it hurts his eyes.

The article I referenced is from today's Boston Herald:

Don Henley is nothing if not a gentleman.

When asked in what order he and ``Two Voices'' tourmate Stevie Nicks would perform at their co-headlining show at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield tonight, Henley laughs.

``I'm going to go first every night,'' he says, ``because there are certain things that she has to have.''

Those include, but are not limited to, special lighting, time for costume changes and the proper performing temperature.

``I'm just a guy,'' Henley says. ``Guys don't mind sweating. I'm just going to go first and that will make my life a lot simpler.''
----------------------------------------------------

I think being a true "gentleman" would be to simply say that he is going first without laughing and talking about Stevie's special needs and saying that he just wants to make his life simpler.

A gentleman doesn't call attention to himself or make a big deal when doing something gracious.

Default well..

i'm not gonna analyze or theorize or spend too much time thinking about the who what why and where..

BECAUSE.. I'm really loving the songs that I have from this tour so far. My latest CD burn includes a mix of the cuts from the Philly and Holmdel shows that have surfaced. and to me, Don sounds pretty good... of course I think Stevie rules, because she's my favorite, but I've always loved Don's voice and it doesn't disappoint me on what I've heard so far.

I'm sure Stevie has her Diva moments, but all I can truly say is that I feel blessed that my favorite songwriter is still around singing to her fans. Not all music fans are as lucky. She's still my girl!

:-)

Looks to me that they're having fun, seems like a good show...and all this picking apart is just silly to me. If you don't like Don Henley, it's simple don't go to a double bill in which he is a part of...if you hate him that much, and that's certainly your choice--by all means don't give him your hard earned money, and some of you aren't--but some are..

I agree they seem a little nervous about the whole thing still, they sound great on eachothers' songs.. I mean if you pick apart every move you will find something..uh oh Don didnt grab Stevie's lace when she offered it to him, he must hate this tour.

He goes first because he does not want everyone to leave after La Nicks finishes her set

Not to mention, most fans are curtious and do not use a flash.
