I think she is very calculating, in a good way. As a compliment. Not conniving, though, and not a bitch. I think she was genuinely thankful.

Stevie has always done an interview with Debbi Calton from WMGK here in Philadelphia before she comes here for a show. Guess who did the interview? Don. Not Stevie. She's just not into this is my opinion.
Hmmm... did FM do any press for their shed tour last summer? It does seem strange that she hasn't done anything.

Oh, I believe she will too. But no, I think she's not expecting to be anymore than a fill-in and I don't think that would be a big deal to her if they never considered her to be more. Just periods of time...playing shows...time off...playing a few shows....time off. It just makes sense judging everything she's been saying in recent months a la the Jim Ladd interview. I think she's finally ready to settle down and just chill out for a while. This is a way for her to still do what she loves, make bucketloads of money and not have to travel.

Exactly. She has to be calculating to some degree in order to have gotten this far. She's not exactly as dumb as a box of rocks, that's Mick's forte.

No one called her a calculating, conniving bitch. But you seem to be oblivious to the fact that her job isn't merely to get up there and sing songs, it's to sell herself to the public so that she makes the cash and continues with her career. That was the sole reason she went on Jim Ladd in the first place, TO SELL HERSELF.

duh - of course she has to promote herself. I just think she honestly did the best she could in the amount of time she had. Again, she got movie rights, filmed Frederick Hart sculptures, etc. - edited/formatted all of that and then synced it to a live Rock show and then had to rehearse it. That is a lot of stuff to do. But, if you are saying you see no malfeasance in her Ladd interview and in her thanks to the CP people for their work - I believe you.

Who's idea was this tour in the first place? Doesn't sound like Don or Stevie's.

It kills me that she helps him out with his benefits, but he can't extend a tour with her past 10 dates? Pft.

This might be a good thing...solo Stevie is much better.

Oh, he is not. But lets say he is. Then lets say Mick is the conniving one. Then lets say "hello, Mick, don't try to be conniving if you are as dumb as a box of rocks!!!"

I don't think he was ever going to do more than a few dates with her, IMO. The Eagles are about to have a show on NBC (maybe it already happened) about their Farewell Tour I and I would assume their zillion California dates coming up in September would mean they're going to finish whatever studio album they've been working on, rehearse, and then do more touring. Stevie had to have known he wouldn't be able to commit anymore to her than just a few dates. This was something that was thrown together very haphazardly.

Blergh. I could care less because they both signed on the dotted line. If they weren't into it, they shouldn't have agreed. End of story. Neither gets sympathy from me and no one had to twist their arms.

The way he discusses the tour, though, is pretty classless and I'd slap him if I were Stevie.

I loathe Don Henley, so let's just those ten dates over and done with and hope that she puts on a kick-ass solo show.

Of course she is a business woman and she is aware of what that entails. It just seems that everytime she says she is going to do something and it either does not happen at all or does not meet up to people's expectations, people say she lied/embellished/whatever. I think she really did try and did the best she could in the three or so weeks she had and I think that the end product was okay and brilliant in some points like the movie footage. it is just people always seem to wanna guff her and not even hear anything about her trying.

Oh, he is and he's got the bankruptcy record to prove it.

Mick attempting to be conniving is like a one-legged man trying to win a butt-kicking contest. He's just a dunce in every sense of the word and he thinks of us fans as nothing more than tits that need milking.

I'd be pissed if I were Stevie. This whole tour was supposed to be with Don and then she was left to do most of the dates on her own. I have a feeling this "Two Voices" tour will be the last time these guys work together.

With all due respect, you do not have to be an idiot or stupid to declare bankruptcy
