I don't think it will be half-assed. It seems like she's going into this not giving a **** (and it seems like no one else is caring much either) but I think once she sees her fans out there, she'll pour her heart out into her performance.

I've had that thought, too. Still, I think Stevie likes to be out there and after two years on the road, I think it would be a big adjustment not to be. She had a rest, she looks it and I think this little gig is a short one and not the grueling every-other-night-in-a-new-place-for-months-on-end gig she did for SYW. And as I mentioned in an earlier post, she can have fun with it and not hold back (minus FM/Lindsey). She goes on after Henley and then they'll do a few duets together. I think she's probably pretty pumped up about it.

Kinda hope she's not hooking up with Henley again though.. I mean really hooking up..

Word. They most certainly were not. They were amazing. Buuut, it seemed to me that she was also banking on the fact that she'd make a favorable impression with Caesar's and the audience so that she'd get to come back again. It's good money, she won't have to tour, and she's not far from home. No time changes, no outdoors, etc. It's perfect for her to set up retirement. However, Vegas seemed to be far more planned out than this tour. I still think she'll do a great job for all of us paying to see her.

Honestly, I'm just looking forward to the duet portion. It's not too often that her and Don get together. L&L is not the best song out of her collection, but it's something I wanna see before it never happens again.

Because she didn't have to travel across the country, she didn't have to worry about getting respiratory problems, and she didn't have to worry about the weather and other such **** when one is on tour. She got to rest plenty without being cooped up in a tour bus, etc. All she had to do was get up onstage and sing. I wonder if she utilized Celine's newfangled moisture gadgets.

She probably did a few weeks ago

Still, she only did one or two interviews about Vegas. So, even though she wanted to do it she wasn't doing a lot of press.

I'd like to see her do Regis and Kelly, or Ellen, or something. I think she would be great on Oprah. She could do a couple songs and Oprah could talk to her about drugs, weight, what it was like touring for 2 years with her ex lover, etc. It could be great!

The Gold Dust Tour is still a month away so she may do some press for it...

I'd rather hear Highwayman or something else entirely as opposed to Leather and Lace. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll do something totally out of the ordinary and we can say we were there to see it. That? would be awesome. So, no L&L...thanks

I also think that's why she built up the show to epic proportions, in order to pique the interest of folks and get their asses into the seats. She wanted to show Caesar's that she could pack them in so that she could get a good gig there.
