What You Wish For is my favorite Guster song and every time I hear it, I always think that Stevie could do a kick-ass cover of it; singing like she did in Sorcerer by utilizing some of her upper register on the "And what you wish for won't come true" lines. Then Lori could come in with the "Just repeat after me" part and it would be an instant classic.

How appropriate then that it is also in a movie starring Hayden Christensen.

If You Were My Love - nice and soft a la the piano demo, in the same vein as Love Is

Old Fashioned / The Dance - this song doesn't get enough credit for being FANTASTIC

The Dealer - the a capella demo + music

Space Needle - truncated, album packaging could include a razor

Have No Heart - love that gothic vibe

Mistaken Love - nice and simple, leave off 99% of those crappy backing vocals

Inspiration - one of my favorite songs

Crying in the Night - could be awesome with her 'new' voice

Forest of the Black Roses - surprised i haven't seen it mentioned yet?

My Heart - i even love the music

Oh, please. I had that album two years before that stupid movie came out.

And I loathe how they looped and edited it for that movie; it's incredibly grating.

I don't dislike it either. Every once in a while I am in a "Sometimes its a Bitch" mood. It is certainly not her worst effort. eg Not Make Believe

How about:

Another version of "Planets of the Universe" that doesn't have all those damned synthesizers and sounds more like the demo version. I'm sorry but, in my book, only Lindsey can get away with writing really depressing lyrics and then setting them to overly synthesized beats (see studio version of "Go Insane").

The rest? I don't care as long as it doesn't sound like TISL. And keep Sheryl Crow the hell out of the project. I like what she does with her own work, but she needs to leave Stevie's alone.
