I am not sure at what point a songwriter is entitled to a cut of the songwriting royalties... so I'm curious to know if Stevie is getting any of the action on this song. I know she would if the line was actually sampled from "Dreams."

Yikes! Some of you guys are pretty ferocious. I happen to like Mariah, and admire the fact that unlike so many other "artists" she actually writes most of her music.

She also seems more genuine, and she is confident enough to be who she is, despite all the catty remarks about how she dresses, etc.

I think she can be very annoying, but I have a soft spot for, hence my buying her new album. And I think it's fabulous. Good melodies and hooks, she doesn't go crazy with that voice of hers, and she keeps the ballads to a minimum. Good stuff. I respect her for having as much respect for her fans as she does, I think it's refreshing.

It is good stuff. I drove to Las Vegas last week for a few days and that was a great CD to listen to. And I agree, she does respect her fans, and that is refreshing.
