Three "disclaimers" before I list my songs:

1) I do these all the time, so this isn't a one-time deal;
2) It has nothing to do with "favorites", it's more about mixing familiar songs with songs that I don't know so well (e.g. Mick's solo stuff, Rick Vito's solo stuff, etc.) and the result is "all over the place";
3) I do some of them (including the one below) on cassette so that I can use vinyl when I need to (I listen to these on the treadmill usually, with a walkman).

I just did my fifth tape the other day. This is an example of a variety tape I do (although I've done really good ones for the various members). Again, this is all over the place. Please don't think I'm just a horrible mixer! I literally choose songs at random (only criteria is that it's Fleetwood Mac-related and that I haven't used it on a previous tape).

Thanks! I never realized just how much of a pain in the ass sitebuilding could be! I've made other sites before, but the servers I've used in the past didn't require any html knowledge. (On the other hand, those servers were always crashing and things never quite looked right).
I assume you mean the Fundamental Roll/Not Shy reissue? I was sssooo happy when that came out. What a great thing to be able to hear "Tunnel O'Love" without all the pops and fuzziness of vinyl.

I hear ya, because I know very little about writing html and can't really build a site that requires that. Yeah, I recently got Fundamental Roll/Not Shy. My Mom remembered "Magnet and Steel" from when it was big (that was before I was born) and she could not believe it was Lindsey and Stevie doing back-up.

Walter has collaborated with both of them (especially Lindsey) multiple times. He's also worked with Christine McVie. I assume from your avatar that you're a big CM fan? If so I highly reccomend picking up The Lost Album (if you haven't already) and Wild Exhibitions (which unfortunately isn't available on CD). Christine does backing vocals on some of the tracks. Walter describes working with her as a "Perfect" experience in the Lost Album liner notes.

Yeah, I'm pretty big on Christine. I have been for the past year, basically. Didn't really care about her before then for some reason. I didn't even realize that he had worked with her! (Geez, does he have any other FM connections? That's enough right there!) If you tell me he's worked with either Bob Welch or Danny Kirwan, then that's just going to be too much for me! As far as I know, he hasn't worked with either Welch or Kirwan. I can't see him working with Danny as blues doesn't seem to be a big influence on his music. Though WE seems to have quite eclectic tastes in music so... anything's possible.

Other FM connections - He opened for both Fleetwood Mac and Dave Mason on his tour for the album Not Shy. He and Stevie dated briefly in the late '70s. That's about it, I think.

(Edit) Oh yeah, and WE had been performing "Sisters of the Moon" live on his Not Shy tour before it was recorded for Tusk. Walter originally wanted to record it for Not Shy but Lindsey put a stop to it.
