You are exaggerating your case. Did the show live up to the hype in the Jim Ladd interview? No. I think everyone agrees with you on that. Is Stevie a "liar"? I don't think so! As someone else stated, she's a bit flaky (I mean that in a loving way ) and she can get excited and get ahead of herself, in a kind of child like way. Her dream of the show and the reality of what she could accomplish just didn't match up. However, I had one of the best times in my life going to those 2 shows. She was on fire and performed better than I've ever seen her perform. That's all that matters to me.

I agree that the show had some merit..I never said it didn't. But thank you
for supporting my point. It went beyond the Jim Ladd Interview..she gave many more in Vegas too proceeding the opening.Again..I love & support Stevie.I agree she does get caught up in her visions..

I have had much support on this subject here and on other sites that many felt letdown. We are simply pointing out her inacuracies in what she claimed to be presenting.I thought we were seeing something new..exciting and never seen before as she claimed in several Pre Show Interviews..so yes many who took of work..paid hundreds of dollars and traveled far to see this REHASH are not pleased. We have the right as fans to express our opinions. We do not all have to agree that she was wonderful in this particular Venue! I have received so much mail of support too..from fans that were there!
Everyone has the right to their opinions, and yes, several people were disappointed by Vegas (I was not one of them, but I understand that some would be. I was also "a person who was THERE", btw.) If you look back, there were a few threads discussing that disappointment already, we really didn't need another one. There are far too many duplicate threads here (right Diss? )

It's one thing to state your opinion in an intelligent, thought-out, well written manner. It's quite another to scream at people through every single post (you do know that typing IN ALL CAPS is considered poor netiquette since it implies that you are screaming the words you type, don't you?) and disregard others' opinions completely. You have been ranting about "freedom of speech" but you don't want to hear it if someone has a difference of opinion?

Also - yes, Amber & Jill were offended by your screaming posts and they may have responded in a way that you perceived as inappropriate, but claiming that a person neglects their children or is an "ignorant slut" is way over the line. Flipping the bird is one thing - slandering a person's reputation is quite another.

I don't know why you became so enraged that people were offended by what they perceived as your rude & agressive posts - what did you expect? I don't really care if you didn't like the show - you have the right to your opinions. What I don't appreciate is you name-calling & putting people down for having a different opinion than you.

I do LOVE Stevie! But..I feel letdown by the show..that's all.
It is hard not to respond to childish nonesense and baiting.
We are not all as fans required to agree she is wonderful 100% of the time!
If you had written a post such as what you just wrote above, maybe it wouldn't have gotten out of hand. You did NOT merely say "I love Stevie, but I felt let down by the show."

You did, however, yell about how Stevie "promised" us something and how "we deserved better." I don't recall Stevie promising anything - and I also read/heard the interviews, as you did.) And the "I always tell the truth" and "I just want to set the record straight?" Those are your opinions, feelings, thoughts. NOT fact, NOT truth. Nobody here said that their positive review was "the truth" - they just wanted to express how they felt about the shows.

And since this is a free country & we are all allowed to express our opinions (sound familiar?), then you must understand that that goes for everyone, whether you agree with them or not. A person is not lying, or trying to cover up the truth, or sugar-coating anything just because they had a great time & thought it was a great show & told us about it here - that's their opinion. I've read all reviews - good and bad. I like to read what others think, whether I agree with them or not .

I don't want to argue with people (you included, High Priestess.) I come here to chat, have fun, express my opinions, get info about Stevie & Mac. I have enough stress in my life without worrying about this place .

Love you guys!

...and she never promised specific things like, "I'm definitely gonna do this song, and I'm definitely going to put this footage up on the screen, etc.." From the Ladd interview, I got the general impression that she was going to do songs that she hadn't done in a while, which she did. I think if anyone was under the false impression that she was gonna sing songs she's never sung before live, then that's a bit of one's own delusion. I mean, do you really think that's gonna happen for the Vegas crowd?? And Stevie's inclination to play it safe with her setlists is another clue that that wasn't gonna happen. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the Ladd interview she was just throwing out suggestions of what she might sing not necessarily what she was definitely singing. From the pictures, her outfits were GORGEOUS!! What more could you ask for there? And the footage, well, she did mention some things she wanted to show, but she never promised anything 100%. I guess you just have to know that with Stevie, nothing's ever certain but what is certain is that she's going to play it safe doing things and singing songs that she feels comfortable with. I don't know...I just think everyone was expecting too much, Stevie's never gonna go out on a limb, I think we should all just get used to that. Just $.02 from someone who wished she could've gone .

You know, that's true. That's why people like Amber and Jill responded to your posts.

I have no problems with your opinion of the show. None whatsoever. It just baffles me how you don't see how you've baited and yelled at people with all-caps and such and that caused a "****storm," as kato said. Also, your insistence that we're all bootlegging scumbags was so disturbing to a poster in another thread that the poster is now loath to post on The Ledge.

This all really boils down quite simply. Some were disappointed in the show, sounds like the majority thought it was great. Some had the time of their lives. I think the setlist was crap, others are just fine with it. I will never know why Stevie wastes her encore with the Petty song, others think it "rocks".

I get the sense that some people are furious that not everyone sees it their way, either positive of negative. And that's what is leading to these really dumb flame wars.

However, no one denies that Stevie looked and sounded great. If I were Stevie, that's what I'd want to know from my fans. She knows she can't please everyone with her setlist, but if they can all go away saying that she looked and sounded great...sounds like a great success to me.

some of the wording stevie used reminded me of perhaps a vegas bobbytrendy-type employee bolstering her appearance prior to the show.."this show will be fabbbulous...like nothing you've ever done before!" id repeat that statement too...especially since it's true

her vegas show is/was something stevie wants/wanted to do...
IMO more power to her...and i pray everything is/was as she wished.

bottom line...IMO...stevie didn't/doesn't ever disappoint me...
no matter the song...no matter the venue...no matter...what?

You can love someone -- but not love everything they do or the choices they make.

There is nothing wrong with having a critical analysis among fans.

Accusing us of "****ting all over her" is inflammatory and misguided.

Fans are hyper-informed to all aspects of her career. As such, our frustrations arise from our expections.

Christ, yes. I want to erase the word "Vegas" from the English language at this point.
