mwahaha, i'm already laying out the pattern on my floor, though i haven't been able to get my hands on any lime green terrycloth yet... i may have to make it out of exquisite black velvet after all ...

nearly 60, wearing that, waving hands, ballet turns... yep, all that and he still liked it. well, he was at least impressed. i guess anyone can be musically redeemed, all sins washed away by stevie's final encore...

Thank you so much for posting this! I was at Friday's show, and it was amazing. I don't know if anyone else thinks this, but sometimes you get so caught up in the excitement of a show, and it's fantastic, but then you hear a boot of it and you are like "ehhhh". That is definately not the case here. Watching the video gave me goose bumps. I can't say enough positive things about Stevie's performances at Caesars, and it's great that others can actually see how incredible it was! Thanks again!

I've owned a VHS copy of it for about 18 years now, I think, but I had been debating getting that DVD for quite some time now. Finally, about two months ago, Romy (serrart) convinced me to just plunk down the money and get the sucker.

I'm so happy I did... and you'll be glad you did, too, Suzy.

The remaster is AMAZING... worlds better than the old VHS transfer. The special features are pretty impressive, especially for such an old movie... and a Foreign one at that.
And the French dialogue has been re-translated for even greater accuracy... though I have to admit that I usually get so caught up in the movie, that I don't pay a lick of attention to the subtitles.

Funny thing is, I first saw the movie late on a Saturday night, on PBS, and fell in love with it... as I recall, it was before I had even heard Stevie's song. I was just always enamored with the story of the Beauty and the Beast. Hopeless romantic that I am.

I'm really glad you've enjoyed it! To hear BATB about five times a day in the last weekend pushed me to see the movie again too.

On the bit that I taped, you can see it behind her I believe. As soon as I find a way to flip the video, i'll send it to you and post it.

Sorry - just in the middle of reading this thread - but Brian, I'm listening to the BATB you recorded opening night, and I'm almost in tears sitting at my computer. It's so unbelievably beautiful. Thank you again...

And Paula... can't wait to see the video... after I listen to this.... Thank you, too!

Oh. My. God. Have just watched the video.

That? Is no Vegas lounge act.

That video is just spellbinding. My jaw was just hanging open. I loooove the drama. I love the hands. And I just can't get over how incredibly perfect her voice is. It's got to be in the best form she's had it in years - and it was pretty awesome during the SYW tour. I can't wait to see her in Detroit...

Paula, thank you again. That was amazing...

Cat.. it was so beautiful to see as well... i remember it being so quiet in the crowd and everyone was just fixated on Stevie... i got a little teary-eyed myself when she first walked out towards the mic.. just a beautiful performance.. and i'm glad i was at least able to capture the audio from that night

I remember my first time [lol!!] and it was truly magical. The first time is always the best. I can't wait to see her again this summer, I'm getting really excited by all these new dates cropping up. Let's hope they hold.

Well I had to remove the video from my site today, since I have seriously exceeded my bandwidth for the month....You can still download it at www.bellaillume.com

The video has gotten nearly 7000 hits from my site alone, so I think most have probably gotten a chance to download it by now (plus it looks like many were streaming it, instead of downloading!) But regardless...it is still available at www.bellaillume.com
