Exchanges with Stevie from the stage - Page 6

I got to touch her and shake her hand for the first time on Friday night. It was so amazing! I couldn't believe it was real life.

First of all, I had an aisle seat in section 2 (which was to the side of the stage, but perfect for stage rushing!), row 3. The seat was great and I am glad I was off to the side and not in the center because no one in the center stood during the show. Everyone in section 2 and 6 off to the side of the stage stood though. You could tell which sections were free for the high rollers and which sections were full of us real fans. Did anyone else notice this?

So, the second I saw people heading towards the stage during How Still My Love I darted out of my seat like a bat out of hell. I was the first one up at the stage at my side. I still wasn't getting my hopes up about shaking her hand because who knew if she would come around and greet everyone? Lucky for me... she did!

By the middle of Edge of Seventeen I was literally squished into the side of the staircase. I couldn't adjust my body or anything, but it was okay! She started to make the rounds and started at the left side of the stage (I was all the way at the right side, so I didn't know whether she would make it around the whole stage). When she got towards our side of the stage it was crazy. I was screaming "I love you!!!" and got to touch her arm because she was too far away to shake her hand at the time.

Then she stood right in front of me, looking down and gave me the biggest smile I have ever received in my life. I will never forget that smile and how genuine it was. She shoke my hand and I screamed, "Oh My God I love you!!!" She laughed and said "I know, I know!"

Then she was on to the next person. It was the single best moment of my life!!! I can't believe how genuinely thrilled she is too meet all her fans at the end of the show. She is a real class act.

Oh, when the show was over someone overheard me talking about how I got to touch Stevie Nicks. He was like "OMG, you got to touch her... can I touch you?" So, I was like "Sure!" And he received some of her power through me I guess. LOL

I got down on Fri cause there was no security, but I should've gone earlier - I did come from the second Orchestra, though, so you can't say I wasn't committed...There was just no way I was going to shove through people, though, because, if I was up front, I would not have let anyone through unless they were crippled or something. I'm too short to have to let people in front of me, yet too tall for anyone to feel sorry for me and let me in front of them...

You didn't look that tall when I met you.

Maybe you were standing a step below me...

On Saturday I was more off to the side, and when she came by people went ape ****. Pushing ect. ect. I kinda just held her wrist.

There were some pigs around me on Saturday saying she was really hot. What a strange thing to say to refer to someone as graceful and elegant as Stevie Nicks. She isn't "hot", she's "beautiful". Hot cheapens her. One great thing about Friday's show is that it was silent during Beauty and the Beast. Saturday, people were really loud. I think Beauty and the Beast deserves the respect of silence.

Are you kidding? You must have meant Tuesday, cause people were yelling all through BATB on Fri.

GREAT STORY!!! It amazed me how genuine she was too. It's like meeting her fans during Edge of Seventeen is her new cocaine! She can't get enough of the stuff!

Tuesday was definitely the best audience for BatB. You could hear a pin drop. I think everyone was in awe to even say anything. I know I was. Plus, I was too busy crying anyway.

I was at the stage during Beauty and the Beast on Friday and it was so amazing and heartbreaking I couldn't move. I practically fell over. I couldn't even clap after the song or anything because it was too moving and I was getting chills. I am so glad the people around me were not yelling or screaming during the song because it would have totally spoiled it. That song was so captivating. Worth the trip to Vegas alone. I still can't believe that that performance had that much of an impact on me where I almost collapsed because it was so heart breaking.

I still can't believe how close she was too me. I was just a few centimeters away from her. We practically did that Eskimo kiss with our noses. LOL!

I didn't think they were that bad. At least the people near me weren't. Maybe I was just tuning them out because it felt like just me and Stevie during B&B. LOL

I didn't realize the "rush to the stage" was happening until there was already a mob down there. On Wednesday, it began before the drum solo even started! Sheesh!

Yeah, there were a few "I Love You Stevie's" coming from the crowd during the quiet spots on Friday... The funniest was when one guy said... "I bet I love you more then you love me" .

I remember this look on her face too and I was deeply touched as well. She adores her fans and is very giving in that way. I personally have never had the presence of mind to say a word to her the few times I have been lucky enough to be up front and I've only held her hands once, on Wed I sort of touched her arm which was still cool! In '98 for Enchanted in Phoenix she came to me first in the front row and took both of my hands and time stood still. It was amazing. Oh yeah, and I was on the same side as you were on Fri on Wed. I'm glad you got to say something to Stevie and that she heard you!

Last year I made a comic book (I do cartoons) spoofing the Destiny Rules VH1 special. It was 8 pages long, and I had it color copied and bound. My friend told me as soon as Stevie saw it, her face lit up and she said, "Oh my God, it's that comic book again! Bring it over here! You guys have to see this!" And she proceeded to go through each page, telling everyone the different parts that really made her laugh.

She thought at first that my friend was the artist, and was about to hug her, but my friend was honest and said she wasn't and that she just brought it to have signed for me. I have it today in a shadow box. It says, "Jamie- Much Love, Stevie Nicks" then, "Thanks you so much, Stevie" with the little heart with wings drawn on it.

So that's the story. Cool, huh?
