First off, many thanks to Paula for recording this and sending it to Chris, and thanks so much to Chris for hosting it.

I'm glad that program worked to convert it.

I just finished watching it. OMG! It is absolutely beautiful! Stevie looks so stunning and regal, and just hits the notes perfectly. My eyes were watering...badly, and I had chills.

This is in the top 2 of my favorite solo Stevie songs, so this really made my day.
Watching it made me wish I could have been there...unfortunately, I can't do planes at all.

I'm so glad everyone who went had a blast!

And that some people caught these concerts on video.

I had chills watching this. The part when she put her head in her hands and started shaking her head is when I lost it and I was crying. It was so amazing, and she looked wonderful.

Yea, it was weird watching it live... I never cry at concerts or movies or anything. Not during Landslide or even Beautiful Child... but seeing Beauty and the Beast really got to me. It was that in the back of your throat type where it wants to close so you can't breathe type of sobbing like a baby does gasping for air. I scared myself. Stevie got to me, man.... she really got to me! heehee... bad part is, once I start, it's hard to stop, so since it was the last song of the night, I had to hurry up and plug the dam cuz the house lights were gonna come on.

Totally.
I tell you what, that is the video f**cking capture of the century. Great job. Sesly, though, you guys who weren't there, you should have seen it on Tuesday night - dead silence. You could feel the collective awe and disbelief of the entire audience that night. (Oh, and by the way? On Friday's performance, people got even more annoying, everyone was screaming during every fricking part.

I still cried, though). Oh, and for Fri, no security for the edge rush.

Oh, and also, for BATB - The Cocteau film showing on the background screen was perfect, and added sooo much to it. It really was a completely mesmerizing experience.

Thanks so much Paula and Chris!!! I was there on Wednesday night, the 11th to see the show. I got chills just seeing this video! Great job!!!

A big huge thankyou to PAULA and CHRIS

<3333....the clip was unbelievable!!

Although I did want to slap the guy saying "sing it to me, stevie..."

Johnny Stew · #68 05-15-2005, 03:16 PM

It took me a solid 2 hours to download this (I'm Dial-Up Boy), but it was worth every minute.

She SLAYED me with that performance... the most articulate thing I can manage to say right now, is "wow."

Thank you, Paula and Chris, for sharing this!!!

xxxmx · #69 05-15-2005, 03:41 PM

yeah, apparently my new job in life is to watch paula's clip, then my clip, then listen to brian's tuesday boot. BATB has taken ovah... oh, and i tear up every time because obviously i'm insane.

so my neighbor (83YO crab who lacks hearing), right before she asked me to close my door, she said that it was a really good song. i don't know if she was kidding or not

she also said something like 'welcome home' - a definite clue that she was kidding...

Enchanted_Stevi · #72 05-15-2005, 05:10 PM

OMG I can;'t stop watching this!...its like her BEST performance of Beauty and the Beast....I can;t wait for more bootlegs....also someone on the Buckinghamnicks forum said that a show was taped so it might be aired on tv some day!!!!!!!!!!!!

MC2002 · #73 05-15-2005, 05:39 PM

Thanks so much for sharing! I haven't been able to stop listening to BATB since I got back from Vegas. I get the feeling my roomies aren't as taken with the song (after almost a full week of hearing it on loop) as I am.

golddustwoman77 · #74 05-15-2005, 08:09 PM

Thank you so much for sharing that. At least those of us who couldn't go were able to get a taste of the concert through your clip. Once again, thanks for sharing!

GypsySorcerer · #75 05-15-2005, 09:24 PM

Thanks, Paula and Chris. Wonderful. How I wish I'd gone to more than one show.
