I'm sure we'll hear more tomorrow about any video effects. (Or tonight if we stay up late enough!)

I haven't had a chance to read this entire thread, so I'm sorry if I'm repeating anyone's sentiments. But this setlist has made me feel alot better about not being able to go to Vegas. I have been lucky enugh to see Stevie solo 3 times, and this setlist is pretty much like what I've seen before (except for BATB- which breaks my heart). I think we should just be grateful that she is continuing to do shows, I guess. She fell back on what was comfortable, and even though it may have been somewhat disappointing, at least she's THERE.

I agree with Jason and IMO, I think you don't know or understand the people or the culture of the Ledge to realize this is quite ordinary. I think its you, Jamie, who have a lot of nerve to say the people who are disappointed in the setlist are jealous because they're not going. Some of the people in this thread have tickets and big money spent for other nights this week....not that it makes a big difference. Even if one or some of them were jealous, it doesn't change the fact that the setlist is a disappointment to them. You can be slightly jealous or envious of other fans being able to make the trip without losing your perspective about a boring tired setlist. The fans on the Ledge are capable of being disappointed without being jealous and since you arrived here from Mick's board about a week ago, maybe you should realize that this board is different. Fans are allowed to complain without being called out and told off like you did in your post. I know that's the culture you're used to at Mick's site, it's just a shame you and the members of your site stood up for the wrong thing and having fun was more important to you and the rest of your group, than hundreds of fans being rippped off and banned from a message board for having a different opinion. The ledge is not some small group of sheep who have almost identical thoughts about everything. Some of the spoiled people you're referring to have been to very few shows (some have never been to a Stevie solo show) so I don't even understand what you think they're spoiled about? Maybe you need to chill or realize the Ledge is not the warm fuzzy place you're used to calling home. It's been pointed out, a lot of the expectations for this show were because of Stevie's own comments about what this show was going to be like. Many fans expected her to do some of the things she talked about, it will interesting to hear how much video footage was used and how much clothes/hats etc she actually did end up pulling out of the vaults and trunks. She's also performing in a place where Celine Dion and Elton John put on spectacular shows that are like "nothing they've ever done" so the expectations were high and legitimate based on the venue and Stevie's own comments in several interviews. Complaining about setlists is normal in almost every fan community. You can still be a good or great fan and complain...a concept the members of Mick's board never fully understood. I belong to other fan sites and some have artists who mix it up 100X more than Stevie and FM and they complain and complain about the setlists. Oooohhhh....look at that, the people at Mick's site seem unhappy and disappointed about the setlist. Maybe you can go back there and tell them off and call them jealous and spoiled, after all they deserve the same treatment as the fans on this site. ![]() |

![]() Seriously though, I would have loved to hear "Outside the Rain," "If Anyone Falls," and "How Still My Love." She dropped those from her setlist before my time as a fan. Are the setlists going to stay the same each night? If so, why bother going to multiple shows? And how about all the theatrics that were promised? Anyone hear anything yet?

We are coming to England to get you and get you pissed on many pints and then we are gonna have a Come to Jesus, frank talk with you about your apparent bad attitude toward Yanks The pints - of course, being the relevant part ![]() Also, I am not slamming Jaime. I was just pointing out the reasoning behind the griping about the set list, which, again, I am glad she changed somewhat even though it was not as much as I thought she would AND - I agree with jannieC that I am glad she is still performing.Last edited by strandinthewind; 05-11-2005 at 09:46 AM.. |
