As you can see, I've slacked off in the past few years with artist-direct CDs. I don't know why. I'm especially ashamed of not getting Bekka's CD, as she's always had a big space in my heart. As for Mayall, really, there are only two albums that really matter: the "Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton" album and "A Hard Road," which every Mac collector should have, as it was the first album that had two members of Fleetwood Mac AND it had one song called "Leaping Christine" and another called "The Supernatural" (talk about an omen

). Also, I don't have a lot of soundtracks. Yeah, it would be nice to get that one song, but I really can't justify spending $10+ for ONE song.

I, too, really admire Bekka's talents. I loved her contributions to Time and Bekka and Billy. I also much enjoyed her backing vocals for Jonny Lang, but I gotta warn ya, I was VERY disappointed with What's In It For Me?
The production quality is, to put it gently, sub-par. Her vocals sound weak (if you can believe it) as do the instruments and overall sound.

Just a note to those who dissed Jeremy Spencer and his solo stuff

His first album was basically a Mac album and his other two were nothing like his Mac stuff at all. Parts of "Flee" could have been passed off as the Rumours line-up and few would have noticed. Give Jeremy a break!

It's just that he's the only Mac guy I can think of I never really got interested in.

Who knows? After I got TISL, I wondered how I lived without it before. After I got Bella Donna, felt the same way. And then after I got Tusk, then Mirage, then Mystery to Me, then Pious Bird of Good Omen...and on and on. It's great to have something to look forward to, though.

I'm an open-minded guy, so I'd be willing to give his later material a try if it really is different from his Mac material.
It's just that when I went back and bought all of the pre-Buckingham & Nicks albums, I got burned out on one too many "Jeremy does Elmore James" sound-alike tunes... so that's why I haven't been interested in delving into his solo material.

There are a couple of tracks that don't quite live up to the originals... and understandably so. But there are other tracks that I daresay improved upon the originals. At least in my very humble opinion.

Either way, I think chiliD would love the album.

"Old Crest" has a few good songs (one written by Stevie's ex, Les Dudek). Some Assembly is only interesting as it was the last album he did with Jim Krueger (who wrote "We Just Disagree" for those not in the know). In fact, I really only like one song on the album, "Fools Gold." But both of these albums are pretty forgettable.

Forgot about these, since they're even rarer than the "Jeremy Spencer" album.

Other things I forgot about were the Tramp albums and a few other Brunning albums. But, those are admittedly not high on my rush out to buy list.
