I can remember the 4th of july, runnin through the backwoods, bare.
And I can still hear my old hounddog barkin, chasin down a hoo-doo there.

Hi there! I suppose on the custom bike scene Harleys have started to make more of an impact over the last few years, although they remain expensive, in particular parts etc. I have to say the mainstay of the english custom scene has been the big jap fours, mainly because of cost, parts and availability. We all grew up with the jap bikes so I suppose its what we all know and have spent our time riding and repairing, like I mentioned my bike which is a gsxr1100 motor and runnin gear, with a one of custom frame etc has taken roughly 2yrs to put together and still is "work in progress".
There are specialist custom mags, similar to easyriders but with more of a european angle available with plenty of custom houses advertising one of parts and of the shelf bits:
backstreetheroes.com
100-biker.co.uk
The custom scene is alive and kicking over here but as with all bikers we remain minorities!

Whats happening over there!

I would say that it's about 60/40. 60% metric and about 40% Harley, although Harley has come way down in price because of the weak American dollar. However, Harley Davidson is extremly popular in the U.S., they have extended their factory warranty for all service men that have served, going back as far as desert storm as some of these people have minimal mileage. Orange County Choppers and Jessie James t.v. shows have really boosted Harley sales and significantly stimulated growth in the custom market (which is great for us, as we are a custom after market shop, www.cccparts.ca).
