Yoga and excercise is how! I got headaches a lot when I was young. I started running and stuff, and then I didn't get them anymore.

Hatha yoga is excellent for stress relief.

I don't do it, but that's just what I've heard.

sometimes, too, you can develop headaches out of nowhere as a food allergy. Allergies that come & go throughout adulthood are difficult to track.

Exclamation When it rains...it frikkin' floods!

Well yesterday I was sick all day with a bout of bronchitis, Which went from bad to worse last night when my temp spiked to 101.6...I was feeling as if I was a lobster in a pot of boiling water, Without actually being the lobster and without that damn pot/water.

My temp finally broke after 4AM, Which was a relief cause who wants to visit the Dr. with a fever/temp? I sure as hell dont...Knowing my luck Dr.Hamilton (aka "Doogie Howser") would've slapped my happy ass in the hospital and stuck me with the one nurse at the hospital I dread more than any...My wife!

Well, My Dr. appt. started alright, I told "Doogie" about my latest bout with bronchitis and he gave me a antihistamine (Norel SR) to help clear up my bronchitis and help me feel better, Plus a shot of some type of steroid in the booty to help me feel better since I am so congested...

The real fun was when "Doogie" went over the CT scan I had last Tuesday night for my ongoing headaches, Which Deb was told by the technicians was clear, Comes to find out another doctor found an "abnormal calcium deposit" in the right side of my brain! Ah great, First bronchitis now I have marbles in my f**kin' head

The calcium deposit may not be anything major, but "Doogie" said it could also be something worse...He asked if I had a stroke because calcium deposits are a sure sign of a stroke, Which to my knowledge I have never had a stroke. So now "Doogie" is goin' to schedule me a visit with an neurologist to determine what exactly this "Abnormal Calcium Deposit" is, And to have a MRI to see a more detailed view inside of that large lump that is located a few feet above my ass known as my head

Ah, If I live to make 35 in a few days it will be a modern miracle

Brian "Mom said I was hard headed...But sheesh, Marbles??? " j.

Jeez, Bri, when it rains it pours. Hope the calcium turns out to be nothing, which is quite possible.
And I don't think my husband would want me as his nurse either .

Related to the diet/exercise thing - how does one go to Las Vegas for 3 days, do no exercise with the exception of walking around, eat & drink without counting calories, yet still manage to lose 3&1/2 pounds? Well, I don't know, but I did it. Of course, I probably lost all the muscle I'd gained over the past month or so, but who cares? JK - I'm back in training this week.

I'm down a total of 6&1/2 pounds in about 6 weeks.

That's great! I thought you looked pretty good in Vegas. From what you described, I expected you to be bigger... But you looked pretty thin.
Brian, sorry about the marble. But it would be nice if that explained some of your health problems, on the other hand.

Yeah! Right on Paula....I seem to have found the 3 1/2 pounds you lost in Vegas though

I am exercising - but my diet is still not so great - well it's fine - I just need to cut the bad snacks out I know I eat some really unhealthy things...I just LOVE the chocolate though...

Sigh - I have gained about 3 pounds in the last month - so now I'm going to seriously try to not eat crap.

I think that although there was a good bit of drinking (though not as much as I used to do) and eating, I was not gorging myself & I actually stopped eating when I felt full! A big deal for me, since I usually keep eating until I'm ready to burst.

The thing about food -- junk food, good food, any food -- is something they don't usually tell you: most people crave it as long as they eat it. But when they drop it from their diet, the craving dissipates until finally (days, weeks or months later), it disappears entirely.

(note: we're talking about "craving" here, not just "liking" or "enjoying")

ITA - this has happened to me. As a matter of fact, when I don't eat something for a long time (usually fried foods & junk) I actually feel ill when I eat it.

Ugh, diet and exercise. Since I'm not in school anymore, maybe I'll actually eat more healthfully and with some kind of structure. I've been feeling rather portly lately, though I didn't binge as much as I thought I would in Vegas.

Yeah, I had something for dinner last night that I haven't eaten in a long time. I thought I would "treat" myself. But when I ate it, I really didn't enjoy it anymore.

Getting over the initial cravings - which seem, now, worse than they have EVER been....

I have bought some 100 calorie packs to try and wean myself off of junk food - it it SO hard this time around...but i know that once i get over that initial craving period I'll be fine

Paula, you look great, I thought you looked thin! I haven't gotten on a scale because I am afraid. BUT, My pants are still loose and I still feel pumped because, although I didn't lift any weights, I carted around enough luggage for a whole week!

Are those at all satisfying? I've got to kick it myself again because in Vegas it's all about the buffets, as Pattie so eloquently said in another thread.

They're okay..I just ate a pack of the orea 100 calorie packs..they're no Oreos..but they're okay....

Not as satisfying as, say, a big fat slab of yummy chocolate....but I'm SO freaked out that I am now 3 pounds heavier than the heaviest I've ever been - so I HAVE CUT THE CRAP OUT....

The minute my flat stomach starts to bulge even a little I FREAK OUT....I hate hving to watch what I eat
