I'm in complete agreement. I always refer to tours as "time-wasters" between albums.

Roy Bittan's organ and piano work throughout the album sound much better on vinyl as well.

Thank you for allowing me to rediscover 'The Wild Heart!'
You're so right - Roy's piano on the title track makes the entire album for me, especially near the end when Stevie starts cooing and whispering while Roy is going nuts. The synths on the vinyl version are fab too, pulsing and edgy -- I think they sound the *worst* on the CD, especially on IAF and "Nightbird".

I think to date I've worn out 3 vinyl copies -- I'm currently on my fourth. Although I kept my original LP because the cover and lyric insert are better printed. I always loved that the cover was matte. Two of the replacement copies I've bought have been glossy.

And I LOVE that you have the vinyl version and a turntable. Especially since they stopped pressing LPs about the time you were born.

Ever since I posted this thread I have been trying to force myself to love this album and so far I am in love with "I Will Run to You"! I never gave that song a chance, but now that I have I love it.

On a different note, whenever I am singing along to Nothing Ever Changes I feel like Michael Jackson singing "come back little boy!"

Default little boy

You just have to remember she is talking to Lindsey and his Little Boy ways.....I love singing along to that song too...

I don't want to disagree with "someone else" about gate/garden...but the whole first stanza is lame.... I hate it.
But I think once it starts with "Do I love you?" After that, I love it and think that it is a great tune-

And I just wish her voice sounded better on Nightbird, because I love the song but she sounds so very tired and worn out, right from the opening line.

All in all- It isn't my fav albulm/cd-but I do listen a lot

Drop the word "back" from that lyric and then it sounds like something Jacko would say and sing.
