It depends on the venue.. i've gotten good seats through ticketmaster a few times in the smaller cities.. obviously, places like Boston, New York, etc are going to be much tougher because more tickets are going to be given to the ticket broker cartel..

i had problems with the june pittsburgh show (the hole in my heart never ceases to bleed for that show)... i think i paid too much for third row seats at that crap venue out at Star Lake, but i ended up paying more than twice as much for my Borgata tix. can't hate the brokers too much, else i wouldn't have gotten the seats, i just hate that you become forced to pay out to brokers instead of the band.

Default what are they thinking?

Who on earth is the promoter that thinks a Stevie Nicks/Don Henley bill will sell out a basketball arena?

Yeah, this is what I told hubby. And I know he'd rather be going to see the Phillies, so I told him we'd go to a game another night.

Why is the info so slow to come out? Philly isn't even listed on TM yet. I wonder if there will be any type of presale.

I thought about going to A.C., but I've never been to the Borgota, & I like the Wachovia Center. I've been there a few times & I know the seating. And it's the very first show which is cool.

Guys, they're not going to be playing the full arenas. More than likely, unless the demand is there (which it won't be), they're planning on cut-down arenas. Anywhere from 7K-11K seats, possibly even less.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. The Wachovia Center in Philly is a full arena. In fact, that's where I saw the Mac in 2003.

Actually Philly is listed on TM now. It wasn't last night, though. But I want to know why some shows are listed as Stevie Nicks and some are listed as Stevie Nicks/Don Henley. Is it possible some shows will strictly solo Stevie? That doesn't make sense to me.

edit to add, Philly is 6/3 at the Wachovia Center, which I know was mentioned before, but I guess this confirms it.

HOLY CRAP..Riss the Philly show is the FIRST show?!? What the hell? What an odd place to start and why are there no Cali shows?? I did hear from someone pretty reliable that the tour will end at the end of July..but it does not look that way if there are no Western shows listed yet?! This just gets odder and odder.
OMG..I just realized there are TWO Jones Beach shows? Oh my. The Mac couldnt even sell that place out. This is .

Most likely I am going to hit Mansfield, but I am going to 3 shows in Vegas so I don't know how this will work.

Also, didn't i read somewhere that Henley solo only sells about 1,000 out of 3,000 in an amplitheather. Stevie pulls in about 7,000 max now a days. I don't know how this is going to work but hey its great shes still going.

I have to draw the line on my shows this year. So unless they're coming to Buffalo, Rochester or Darien Lake, I'm probably going to have to sit this one out.

A cut-down arena is when they sell only a portion of the arena's seats, pull the curtains to cover a great deal of the empty area, and reconfigure the seating so that it's a smaller, intimate show.

Most markets don't have a venue that's the size they're looking for, so it's easiest to just play an arena, and cut down capacity. It's becoming more popular.

I've been to a few shows like you. That'll probably be what happens at Wachovia

The cut-down arena makes much more sense. I saw Dolly Parton in such a setup last year and it was a pretty good environment.

I love my Stevie, but I highly doubt she can draw 7K this year. This tour is pure nostalgia with no new music. Plus the Eagles and FM have been all over the country the past couple of years.

I predict a bit of a bust with this tour, hoping I'm wrong. I'm much happier to go to an arena, cut-down or not, than a shed. I swore I would never go back to an awful shed no matter what.
