They can't. "Shine Angel," for example, is nothing but a rip of the chopped-up audio CD of the November 6, 1979, St. Louis soundboard that Devilwoman originally sold.

A bootlegger -- no matter how pretty the artwork is on the jewel case -- can't "scoop" a copyright holder's first use of previously unpublished material (soundboards would probably fall in that category). The "fair use" doctrine doesn't stretch quite that far.

...whew....didnt mean to start such fervor admist the Ledgies. If it makes any of you feel any better, I paid out the ying yang for those CDs. I think I paid upwards of $25-$40 per set so I doubt I'll even make back 1/4 of what I put into them.

Doesn't matter what you paid. I think the sentiment around here is more that we feel bad that YOU were duped into thinking they were legitimate releases.

Even though I know very well these are bootlegs, I would most definitely bid on them anyway. And that's because for one, I don't really have a lot to trade and I would like to have some of this stuff. Also, I don't really have a lot of time or patience to download a bunch of bootlegs. Plus - look at these things! They're cool looking. Bootleg or not, I would enjoy them and I think that's worth the money in itself.

I wasnt duped into buying them. I knew what they were...but when you're as big a fan as I am, the regular studio releases from the Lindsey/Stevie era Fleetwood Mac didnt satiate my need for more material.
