Band Of Gypsys/Live At The Fillmore East
"Stone Free"---Band Of Gypsys from the Live At The Fillmore East album. (a 2-disc expanded version of the original Band Of Gypsys album)...this song gets into some extended jamming that starts sounding VERY similar at spots to those lengthy versions of "Rattlesnake Shake" on the Live At The Boston Tea Party albums.
This is the best live Jimi Hendrix album I have ever heard (as a 16 year old, I was smitten with the original Band Of Gypsys album, so I might be a bit biased). He finally had a rhythm section that can groove behind him. Billy Cox on bass, Buddy Miles on drums.

The whole...
album, that is Steve Vai's newest release "Real Illusions: Reflections"...Man, He is out there on this release.
Hey Chili, Just gimme "Machine Gun" from "Band of Gypsies" and I am a happy guy (Though any Hendrix from Fillmore East will suit me fine)
