You could also just walk into Target and take the CD, after all I am sure Target makes enough money as well.

Again, this is a huge pet peeve of mine. If you want the music, buy it. If you cannot afford it - tough, you have to wait until you can afford it. You are owed nothing in this world and it is stealing to take it without paying for it no matter how you rationalize it.

On another note, I think the music industry is silly not to recognize the marketing potential of downloading. But that is a whole other topic.

Whoa... quite a reaction from you on this... first of all, i never said that this was right or wrong.. i just said that the richest of the rich should quit their bitching... if downloading affects anyone, it's the smaller artists who are just trying to establish themselves in the music industry... someone like Steven Tyler or Madonna shouldn't have a hissy fit over it... If an artist is too lazy to get off their ass and WORK for their money and go out on the road and make REAL money, then that's their problem.. so now Madonna, who used to tour every 6 years, has to tour every 5 years to make the same kind of money she used to... poor Madonna, must be such a struggle for her..
