Sydney Pollack directed The Interpreter and I've gotten into him a bit quite recently, so it might be pretty darn good. I'm not a Sean Penn fan, but that's okay, I suppose. The reviews I've read say that it's quite good and I'm just hoping for a kicker of an ending...
It's kind of sad how I gush over her all the time, but I can't help it. She's just that wondeful.

Pollack is a fine director. I <3 Three Days of the Condor, even though I detest Redford. Eh, he was tolerable in teh 1970s.

Oh, honey, I sing that girl praises to anyone who will listen. She's phenomenal. And just think, I'm going to inflict torture upon myself in the form of Will Ferrell just so that I can see her in Bewitched.

My favorite one from Pollack is They Shoot Horses, Don't They. The first time I saw it, I was blown out of my seat by the ending. Anyone who says they saw it coming is lying through their teeth! One of the most shocking things I've *ever* seen in a movie.

Oh, you should, it's a great film. It doesn't get the recognition that it should. Jane Fonda is fantastic in it, probably her best performance.

I was skeptical too, the accent kind of threw me off. But I'm sure she's fabulous in it. And I wish you well on your other questions this week, you will do well I am sure.

And Diss, you don't like Sean Penn? What the? I <3 him. I haven't seen To Die For though! I wanted to see it and never did and had forgotten about it. I gotta put it on my list.

Sean Penn bores me like Daniel Day Lewis bores me, he plays the same role in almost every movie it seems. He was laughably bad in I Am Sam, that movie and his performance should be playing at midnight on Saturdays with audience participation. I felt compelled to send him a ham after seeing it. I think he was phenomenal back in the day, but as the years wore on, he became so incredibly serious that it really ****ed up his performances. I will see his new movie All the King's Men, though, because Kate Winslet and Jude Law are in it and I <3 them. And The Interpreter, of course.

To Die For is a GREAT movie, you'll like it (the book is fab, too). Kidman attacks that role with such gusto that you forget it's even her. I can't believe she won a Golden Globe for it but didn't get an Oscar nomination!

Thanks for the well wishes.

And, just to echo everyone else, "To Die For" is a great flick. You'll love it.
