As always, I am completely late on this one. I cannot believe how expensive those tickets are. I saw FM at the Borgata and it was NOT that great.

Hopefully you are right, Jason, and it's just the venue. I really wanted to see Stevie this summer. But I'll be damned if I'm paying 250 to see her and that douchebag.

Yep, it's the venue alright. (although the groovy but far less important Kings Of Leon are only charging $21 for their concert there)

Wow, would anyone pay $253.50 to see Sting? Scary. (sorry I have an intense hatred of the man).

The other artists fees range widely. So, who knows. I think I am choosing to stop speculating until we know for sure.

This is what I'm banking on, too. I'm hoping the Borgata just jacks up prices because it knows it can pull in the high rollers. I can tell you for free, if they're going to be asking $250+ all over the U-S, they aren't going to get it. I was expecting $150 for top seats again - and even that is a lot. I actually had a dream last night that I met Don Henley ( ) and we were hanging out and talking all about the tour and the outrageous ticket prices. I can't remember much more about it than him saying they were only going to be touring the western U-S. Nowhere anywhere near Toronto or the northeastern U-S. Dammit! When I woke up, I had one of those "did that really happen?" moments...

Looks like the best route to see Stevie this summer is to make her Vegas shows. Sure you'll be shelling out a lot of money in ticket prices, plane fare, and hotel room costs, but at least you'll be getting to see a full set and a show unlike anything she's ever done before. This is gonna be a once in a lifetime experience and probably worth every penny.

The Henley/Nicks debacle on the other hand, is proving to be a real let down. Only big fans of both will appreciate this tour and shell out that kind of money on tickets. I would love to see Stevie but not for half a set at $200.00!

Just because they are both headlining a tour together does not neccessarily mean that they will perform half a set.. Alot of bands nowadays do this sort of thing.. I saw Alanis Morissette last year with Barenaked Ladies... they were both on stage equally for an hour and a half.. that's about the average for a Stevie solo show anyway..

Exclamation What if...

the Stevie/Henley tour/shows are being played only at Casino's through the summer, Instead of at arena's throughout the US...I have seen similar things happen in the past, So who knows

That would be interesting and smart of her from a business point of view. A few weeks of that and then she is off of the road. And - there is not saturation of the national market so a national solo tour to promote a new record next Summer would not be effected. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Thats the best news I've heard so far on this this. THANKS Jason. I was getting so down over those prices. I like The Sting comparison the most. I'd be happy with top price being under 150 dollars.

same thing happened to me! we were fourth row on the side and there was no way that i was going to sit for the show. as soon as The Chain and Dreams were over, the people behind us started complaining. they went so far as to pull the staff over and the guy was talking to me, asking what the problem was. i told him how much i paid for my seat and said that unless it was a policy of the venue, i wasn't paying that much to SIT that close to the stage. he smiled and backed off.

the eediots kept it up but i couldn't really be bothered by them because IKINW was all i could think about. so the lady says 'i paid a lot of money for these seats! you're ruining my view!' i asked her how much she paid and it was actually (sadly) more than i had paid, i informed her to find a better tix broker and then left for the front row.

i looked back a few times with that 'oooh-look-at-me-i'm-three-feet-from-the-stage-what-are-you-gonna-say-about-me-now' glare and noticed that they were standing during Rhiannon. of course i'm a total bitch so i screamed 'oh yeah, you'll stand for the radio hits'...

lol.. good for you... i know Vegas is probably gonna be the same as Atlantic City... never been there before, but i'm guessing it will be the usual "i like to sit and watch a rock concert like i'm watching dinner theatre" crowd... well, they can say and do what they want, but i'm still gonna stand..
