I don't think there's any gasket-blowing happening here. Just some understandable expressions of disbelief and disappointment. Those prices are ridiculous - I actually find them insulting. I think it's a snub to all the fans who've been there for years and years and years. God knows both Don and Stevie have lost fans through the years; they should be a little more appreciative of the ones like all of us who have hung in, supported them, and loved them for so long.

And by the way, my very first FM concert cost me $17.50. Sigh.

I agree, I didn't think tickets would top $200.00...but it is just common sense. For this to be profitable for BOTH of them, tickets would have to be high.

One thing Stevie apparently does understand is the bottom line. If her true fans decide they don't want to pay a car payment for HALF a Stevie set, maybe she will realize this idea sucked from the get go. I do not see casual fans forking over this kind of dough. If she makes no money, she will definately "get it".

I agree. It is not a proven fact yet and I still don't beleive they would charge that much... I mean, that is three hundred dollars with the ticketmaster fees and tax! That is insane and Stevie and Don, I don't beleive, are popular enough to charge that much. Wouldn't people rather see Fleetwood Mac or the Eagles (for half the price) then Don and Stevie solo for three hundred dollars a pop? If these are the real prices for the whole tour then I will eat my words but right now, I am not going to worry about it because it may not be true...

I'm also not that concerned because I will have just seen Stevie a couple times in Vegas, so if I see any of the Don/Stevie shows (which I will only go to within driving distance) it will just be gravy.

Of course it would. But as it is, I don't think this will be an arena tour. They're going to play smaller venues and sheds and charge lots because of it.

Jeez, I agree with ya there. I do believe they think this is the "most Fab of ideas". She and Don...how exciting!

I am sure someone fed her a bunch of bull about how she is the Queen of Rock and he is the most handsome of lead singers from a rival band and together, well together...can you just imagine?!?!

I hope this bombs. Badly.

Don Henley has a sleep-inducing effect on me, but I hope the tour won't bomb and that they'll have fun doing it.

if the prices are indeed going to be that steep - i hope the tour not only fails, i hope it chokes and stumbles to the dirt and clearchannel is left destitute (fantasy, ahh)...

i am okay saying that because stevie's going to get her guarantee no matter what. and i honestly think that sucks, there's no reason that she or any artist should be able to haul in the cash while everyone else is ebaying their kidneys. what do you think a fair asking price is for a kidney?

I hope it does respectably enough, but not great - i don't want Stevie to be hurt by this, or her chances for otherwise getting to do what she wants and touring to be reduced because she didn't sell well enough. I want it to sell well enough to be respectable, but under expectations enough for them not to think they (she, really) can get away with diabolical ticket prices like that, in general.

I think that The Mac was about $150.00 for AC. There other shows were about $125.00. I am going to say that the average price for this tour will be abour $175.00 before the TM fees.

This is going to be one long, boring summer.

Too rich for my blood. I will probably go see a Journey concert this summer and pay $35 to $45. The only person I think I would pay $250.00 to see right now is Mr. Buckingham but I would hope he would be a bit more modest in his solo ticket sales prices.

Seriously, the ticket prices are set by what their analysts think the maket will pay. People though they were insane for SYW - yet people paid those prices

Will they pay these - who knows. I mean U2 is charging like $175 or so dollars for their tour. So, we shall see. Personally, I think that is too high because there is no record to support. But, again, we shall see if that is the price in all cities.

Thank goodness he will be cheaper. If his tour should ever materialize, I'm gonna see as many shows as is feasible!
