I really just did not like her performance at all. Sorry to any Tasia fans.
No, I enjoyed her, though the first song didn't sound as good live as it does on the album and I think Tamyra's "I Believe" is unbearably cheesy. However, she displayed energy, personality and a voice that no one on this season (or any season before) has come close to. Of course she went over the top, but that's what she does. I also thought she looked fine.

Ryan Seacrest is a little guy--any female standing next to him who is tall and remotely big-framed looks huge beside him. Anyone standing next to this season's unnaturally skinny Celena, Amanda, and Nadia would look practically obese! At any rate, the size of Fantasia's booty is not a big deal; nor does it matter if she's been eating fried chicken or caviar to make it that size.

I know Fantasia's not for everyone, but her performance last night made me miss the fun and spunk she brought to the competition. Her "yeah yeah yeahs" got old after a while but I couldn't wait to hear what songs she'd choose and how she'd perform those songs every week. These constestants are really boring in comparison.

I don't know about all that, but what I do know is that I couldn't STAND her performance. What was with that godawful wailing toward the end of the song? She sounded like a dying cat.

Ughhhh! Anthony go home already! I'm tired of listening to you...and looking at you too. That's all.

Not too upset over Nikko being gone, but it definitely should have been Scott or Anthony.

Lightbulb I'm sorry

Was Fantasia being murdered on stage or something? Sheesh!! I heard a snippet on the radio this morning of it and yowza. Actually, I'd rather listen to cats dying. LOL

I thought Fantasia was awful too. It was a bad song and then she wasn't even singing on it. She was yelling and screeching and sounded terrible. And the performance was so dramatic also. She has a unique voice but this was just too much.

Well, okay, it wasn't her best by any stretch. She certainly was dedicated to the performance and having a good time with it though--you gotta give her that. I still wish more contestants would loosen up and just go for it he way she did, (with a little restraint, of course).

I think Anthony was a lot better looking when he wore his glasses. Now they've got him wearing too much mascara or something!

OMG! I was just about to post this!! I seriously thought it was a girl for a minute when the camera panned to him. What's with putting mascara on him anyway?!?!

I don't care about the size of her booty but my man does and I felt like sharing. None of this stuff we talk about is a big deal in the big scheme of things. I did not like her 'performance'... it just wasnt for me. I see others agree with me too. I did like her last year when she was on the show and voted for her to win but uh, didnt like her vocals too much last night.

You're absolutely right. Not that big a deal. Truth be told, when I watched the Christmas special with Kelly, Rueben and Fantasia last year, I didn't enjoy one minute of it. So I know she doesn't walk on water. Anyway, I obviously still really like what I saw of her last year and can't help but want to see her do well now. I hope someone from this season will inspire me in the same way. I'm still waiting.

ps: I didn't think she was as bad as cats dying, but I suppose there's no accounting for taste.

Oh, and let's hope for a better theme this week.
