What are you doing/did you do tonight? - Page 5

Yesterday was fun. I went to a friends to play poker. Sat over there for hours and wound up loosing my ass.... but it was great fun. Then, my family calls and were all going up to the steakhouse. So I had to go. My uncle bought my mom this HUGE Long Island Iced Tea.... she was drunk. Afterwords, my uncle and I sat around and shot some Tequila, then we went to the bar and had a few beers. It was great. I don't hang out with my uncle very often. He's a pretty cool guy. I'm supposed to go to the park with some friends today, and the kids to fly kites. Then, we're supposed to go fishing for a little bit. But I don't know if I want to go because the house has been neglected. I need to do laundry.....

Every so often I volunteer at the cable station in town and tape events. Last night, I taped a basketball game for charity. It was our local fire department against the Patriots and some Patriots alumni at our local high school. There was a good crowd and it was a good time. I got a few autographs too.

D'oh! - The Giants were playing the A's yesterday, and I forgot to go.

That's the coolest part about having two baseball teams! Anyway, I'll catch one sometime this season.

That house party Saturday night turned out to be really lame! There were no gay boys there and everyone was REALLY, REALLY drunk. So drunk they were all taking their shirts off! I wasn't drinking last night at all. But we still somehow ended up staying until 3:00 am. I had to get up early today so now I'm BAGGED!!!

I have a big problem with napping at inapropriate times (say, from 7-10 at night, on workdays) then staying up too late. On weekends the inapropriate nap usually comes a little earlier, but the results are the same. I get so much more done at night, though. For instance, right now, it is 5:30. I feel very nappish. But I only got up at 10:45 anyways.

Anyway, a bit frustrating, but not as frustrating as never being able to sleep.

I force myself to stay awake even if I'm so tired I feel like I'm going to day. Take now for instance. Seriously, I could go to bed right now, but I know, I'd be screwed if I did. I used to do what you do and take naps after work and wake up at like 10:00 or 11:00. It seriously sucks when you wake up but the sleep you have is so restful at the time! I say, force yourself to stay awake! Make a cup of tea or find someone to make out with during the hours of 7:00 and 10:00. Then go to bed with them at 11:00. You'll be just fine!

Tonight for me, I am wondering what i am doing for Spring Break and which is sitting home lsitining to Birght Eyes and watching Benny Hill sketches. Tonight was actually pretty boring, but i attempted to dance like David Byrne and think the more happy thoughts of myself, but i forgot what i was doing and took a nap. Also, I have terrible computer typing skills...so i may have to get lessons on that

I did my cover letter (yargh!) and sent out resumes to law firms. Thusly, I feel very accomplished.

I did other stuff, too, most of it productive (miracle of miracles, I've been doing weird spring cleaning and rearranging my space the past few weekends. Last night? I was washing my walls, and my blinds, if you can believe it.) I also did yoga, that was good. Later I will continue the trend by studying. but the resumes were the best thing, seeing as I hate my job so much I would destroy myself to take it down with me. wait....that's not quite right, but you see what I mean.
