Oh, I've never heard anyone do that Etheridge song. But then, I've rarely watched Idol. But, I wouldn't care if it was as cliched as Stevie Wonder or Whitney, because the difference is, I really like Melissa Etheridge's songs.. And it makes all the difference....

You probably would have liked Nikki, then. She did Etheridge, Joplin, Stevie, and a bunch of rare old songs. I liked her a lot. She had spunk and personality, the things that Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini lacked badly.

Wow, yeah, I probably would've. I think a lot of them are super boring. That's why I don't usually watch. Blond Carrie girl just finished, she did well, but...she's dull, too. oh, and she has your b-day... Man, Paula has vicoden eyes if i've ever seen them! Oh, Vonzell, the other black lady, is next - is that who you said did good? She does have a good voice - she's usually a little...dull, paint by numbers, etc, but she does have a really good voice...

I think they're all dull, so... It's rather painful to watch because they aren't performers, they're amateur singers and it bores me to tears. And none of them really have personality (Nadia does) and it makes for bad television.

Though it's worth it to see Paula act like a crack ho.

Paula is sooo not acting like a crack ho - crack ho's are jumpy, she's all relaxed and quaaluded out... "everythings great...ooo, did you see that cloud?" Painkillers, baby!
But yeah, Vonzell did well, I think she actually has the best natural voice in the competition, I just don't like her best.
Yes, it is dull - I can't really watch it every week. If everyone didn't do stupid ballads, it would be so much better...

See her at the Oscars (or maybe it was the Golden Globes)? I swear, she had the crack pipe stuffed down her rack. She was all jumpy on the red carpet and making weird faces when she was posing for the photographers.

And she wears the most viscerally offensive clothes known to mankind!

She was probably off her (painkilling) meds that night.

Default Scott

Scott is the pits..those high notes were cringeworthy. Hubby actually thought he had a chapped lip, until I pointed out that it was his ridiculously thin mustache.

Carrie is my girl. I think she has the best voice out of all the contestants. Maybe not as much personality but she is sweet and humble and can sing like a star. I want her to win. I dig Nadia but I predict I would not like the type of music she will put out if she wins. (ala Fantasia..barf)
Vonzell is the most improved and has a great set of pipes. She will probably get a deal anyway, even if she doesn't "win"..as long as she keeps improving and picking decent songs.

You really think so?! I don't. I think she'd be creative and edgier than the other contestants. Actually, I was telling my hubby last night that I would actually listen to Nadia if she came on the radio---those other contestants? I don't think so. Actually, I can't think of any other Idol contestants that I'd actually listen to on the radio much less buy c.d.'s they put out. Except maybe for LaToya London--girl's got pipes! I think Carrie has a great voice but I can't stand Top 40 country music. I think if Carrie made it that's what she'd do and I wouldn't appreciate it at all. Her rendition of Alone was amazing, she should do more stuff like that. She's definitely got a voice!

Girlfriend's definitely on something---quaaludes or alcohol or a mixture of both I'm guessing. She is soooooo out of it! At one point last night Randy and Simon tried to cover something she said. They tried to move on really fast after one of her 'luded out comments. It was embarrassing!

I know what you mean. Except sometimes is cuts both ways. I appreciate the fact that they sang a song I love but then again I kind of scrutinize their performance all the more.

Question Even though I dispise...

"American Idiotic Idol" is Carrie Underwood still a contestant?

I saw her face mentioned daily in the newspaper during the week I was home since she is a local girl from Checotah (Only 26 miles from my hometown Muskogee)...Have to pull for the Okie for no reason other than to support another fellow Oklahoman.

Bottom Three for me:

Scott
Anthony
Anwar
I totally agree with your synopsis. But Scott will not actually be in the bottom 3. Mark my words. Oh, and I did catch what appreared to be his chocolate milk mustache - that's gotta go!

Nadia was much better this week, I love her rock edge. Hopefully her being in the bottm last week scared enough of her fans, forcing them to vote for her multiple times last night.

I wouldn't care if Anthony, Anwar, Jessica or Nikko go tonight.

She did. It's way to R&B for my taste.

I don't think Nadia is like her at all. She seems to be more of a cool rocker chick, not R&B diva.
