Well done

I also like Stevie's low, manly voice: "This is a new song"

By now, Temporary One is my favourite of the new songs on The Dance. But somehow it's silly listening to Lindsey's speech in which he says that he's actually still working on his solo album and knowing that this was 8 years ago and the album still isn't finished.
Is there a software with which you can fade out *.wav-files?

Sure it is! It was released two years ago with a bunch of Stevie Nicks tracks tacked on there, under the title of Say You Will.

My solution to getting rid of the chatter after "Temporary One" for use on my iTunes was quite simple. Years ago I purchased an import CD single of TO and it's a "single edit" without the chatter afterward. I simply deleted the TO from "The Dance" and replaced it with the version from the single! This worked so well I used my CD singles for "Landslide" and "Silver Springs" to replace with "Dance" cuts also. There's still Lindsey talking about how he does "Big Love" differently but I was at least able to REDUCE the amount of chatter on the songs from "The Dance" when I listen to them on shuffle on my iTunes. These singles also contain "Gypsy" and "Over My Head" and "Gold Dust Woman". Somehow I knew these CD singles would come in handy someday!

Has anyone else done this?

I didn't even know that "Temporary One" had been released as a single. I'm going to look into this & see if I can find this import single. That way I can get rid of Lindsey's speech & get TO onto my Christine CD. Thanks!

You're welcome! I actually saw one on mattscdsingles.com once but it was a single track promo copy. Not sure if they still have it. This place has been a great source for European CD singles. You might want to check it out.
