And it must be Harvey Fierstein! Thank the stars they passed on the girl who played Tracy on Broadway, she was a horror. I couldn't stand her!And I think they should bring Debbie back, but have her play Mink Stole's character!

Okay, random ramblings.....
Chris Rock sucked. Go away; bring back Billy Crystal. I also didn't care for the awards given in the aisle. It looked tacky.I'm so happy for Cate Blanchett!!!! Morgan Freeman, too, even though I haven't seen Million Dollar Baby.Annette Bening lost to Swank again?!? What the hell? Jamie Foxx -- yawn. Poor Scorsese, joining the ranks of Hitchcock and Altman. Eternal Sunshine for original screenplay -- Best dressed: Salma Hayek -- WOW. Kate Winslet -- <33333333333 Virginia Madsen Halle Berry |

After Oscar discussion with Ebert & Roeper - they're now bemoaning the fact that Virginia Madsen didn't win. I missed the part with her, and so didn't see her dress, Krista.

Virginia Madsen's dress was GORGEOUS. Versace- this beautiful jewel tone blue with a black net overlay. Gorgeous. My favorite of the night.

On a sort of Oscar related note, I actually gained a tiny ounce of respect for Ms. I'll-show-my-t*ts-for-absolutely-no-reason Halle Berry when she actually showed up to receive her Golden Raspberry award for Worst Actress.

I have to say that noone looked horrendous this year on the red carpet which is saying something. I guess noone was willing to take any risks. I thought everyone looked good but a few people left some things to be desired: Scarlet Johansson--um, she always looks a bit weird to me no matter what she does to herself. I didn't like the hair but the dress was beautiful. Natalie Portman's dress looked like something her character from Star Wars would wear. Drew looked boring, I like the dark hair but blonde works better for her. You're right gardenstategirlie, Renee Zellweger totally needs to eat about 10 steaks. Johnny Depp--oh, Johnny you could wear a potato sack and still look hot, but what's with that crazy suit? Somehow he always looks like a hobo. Hillary Swank looked AMAZING and I'm so glad she won for MDB. The woman from Maria Full of Grace looked HOT!! Cate looked amazing as always and I'm glad to see that she won. I was pulling for Virginia too Diss. I thought her performance in Sideways was subtle elegance. Beyonce sang too many songs and Antonio Banderas needs singing lessons. I cried during Jamie Fox's acceptance speech...wow. Morgan Freeman is understated brilliance. I am so glad he won, what a gentleman he is too. Uh...what's up with Sean Penn? Can't he take a joke? I mean, I like the guy and all but sometimes he takes things waaaaay too seriously. And does anyone know why Oprah was there? If memory serves she wasn't nominated for anything. ![]()
