Oh I'm totally a chiffon head But I think I have the restraint and respect not to be a rabid and unhealthily obsessed Chiffon Head ya know?

I would never like knock on the woman's door or anything and wouldn't try to get close to people who are close to her just for the possibility of knowing her...I actually like not knowing or meeting Stevie because then I'm free to envision how she is or would be ya know? I'd hate to have my ideal crushed

I also never meant to imply that all Chiffon heads are crazies etc...but come on -we've seen some wacked out stories on here...like that one chick (I can't remember her screen name) who called Kristen or had a friend call Kristen or something and then they like hounded the poor woman or something - that story totally creeped me out...it's folks like that, who don't seem to know boundaries, that freak me out

I'm also a proud Chiffon Head. Those crazy ones give us a bad name.

Oh, it was. This small summary doesn't even do it justice. One of the most bizarre stories I've seen. The thread is somewhere on the Rumours board, I think it was discussed in August or September? Even that thread doesn't do it proper justice, the actual review of their pursuit of Fleetwood Mac at a hotel was equally bizarre and left you scratching your head because you knew the people involved didn't make it up......which made it even scarier that they were sharing it.

I always thought it was a term of endearment and kind of a sweet way to poke fun at ourselves and our obsession

I agree the criticism can get out of hand, but the debate is what keeps things lively and interesting around here. In fact there hasn't been enough of it recently. I have to admit seeing a thread titled "Stevie's best use of the word 'well' in a song" doesn't exactly excite me.

My crush grows deeper.

Don't forget about darling 4buck and her disturbing, disturbing fascination with Lindsey. That was just as scary as that other chick who called Lindsey's wife.

I looked back in the Rumours thread and didn't find anything. Does anyone remember what it was called?

Here you go! The actual insanity doesn't come to the surface until about post 62? but it's worth reading through it from the beginning to see how it unfolded.

Insane Fans 101

I wouldn't know where to look for their actual review of their FM hotel adventure when this all started, maybe its on the BN site in their fan review section.

Warning: Don't read this before bedtime

Yup - put me in that chiffon head club, too! Healthily a fan - but way short of the rabid, crazed, obsessed sort. That whole story of the fans calling Kristen was even more than creepy; it was sad. People with nothing better to do with their lives than crank call the objects of their desire (or their wives)? Yikes.

I thought it was a little strange, too. He said he asked both Mick and Stevie, and they said they both had footage, but didn't know where it was or it was in storage or something. Being that it was recorded 25+ years ago, this could be true. That or maybe she didn't want him to see it? I'd image that alot of that footage probably had stuff on it that is less than positive considering all the drugs and alcohol they were using. I don't know though...

Oh, Cayla...forgot about her She was in a class all by herself with her insane views on women and their bare tummies and women who had children out of wedlock. I always suspected she was either the most creatively insane troll....or a man.

Cayla and the one who called Lindsey's wife wanting to know if the band got their cards (only the tip of the iceberg for those that didn't read the full story) are definitely at the top of Insane Fans list.
