Well, I'm a fiend when it comes to celebrities, I'm a pop culture whore.

But Sheryl, as much as I adore her, will do anything for publicity. Appearances on WB teeny bopper shows, concerts in Starbucks, concerts on airplanes thousands of feet up in the air; she doesn't know when to quit or how to keep her integrity.

If I had an album to sell, I would do my darndest, but would stop short of anything that I thought was degrading. Most of the things you named here definitely apply.

Yeah, they do, all of them have sold multi-platinum and her second one is one of my all-time favorite albums. But she needs to learn when to quit. Restraint is not her strong suit.

She is a self-professed workaholic. If you knew that posing for Maxim might sell a million more albums I think you might do it. I know your point is that she said it was wrong to bare skin to sell albums and then went and did it. Maybe she just overcame her prudiness?

I think most women go through a sexual revolution within themselves when they become ready to put it out there. Then they may reel it back in.

I wouldn't surrender my self-respect to sell a million albums and I most certainly wouldn't put myself in a such an extreme position to be called a hypocrite.

I don't think it was prudishness on her part, I think her point was to let your talent and your music speak for itself, not whether or not your nipple is going to pop out if you bend over the wrong way. She certainly wasn't prude when she was singing about getting stoned, dropping acid, women going through their periods, and little Jimmy jacking off.
