They opened the show with Black Eyed Peas, Gwen and Eve, Maroon 5, and Los Lonely Boys. They played Take Me Out and then the whole extravaganza ended with all of them playing their own song AT THE SAME TIME. It was torturous. The medley where they were supposed to debut their new single was dropped by the producers. Those bastards.

But hey, I'm grateful The Killers didn't perform OR win.

I actually enjoyed the beginning quite a bit, nevertheless, I definitely saw that writers point. And, of course, if the show hadn't been as over all craptastic, The beginning wouldn't have seemed so good to me.

I enjoyed the individual performances, but it all fell apart at the end.

That sounds brilliant . I can stand the Oscars, but I'm tired to see my favourites lose at the Grammys so I don't try anymore to watch them. At least Franz Ferdinand must have been the best of the bunch. I was in the crowd at European VMA, Gwen Stefani was okay live, but Maroon 5 were undistiguished; Franz Ferdinand were a gem there, and I'm not even the greatest fan.

meh. I didn't think the end was catastrophic, it just wasn't real smoothy smooth. Yes, the single performances were better. But all in all, I enjoyed reading that guy's article more than i liked the grammys

I thought that was rude. How dare her be dissin' my boys like that. Jealous _unt. I also cannot STAND her version of "If I Were a Rich Man (Girl)" whatever....it's as bad as J-Lo's "Jenny from the Block". Ugh. Gwen IS rich. Whatever....When I see LLB back in town, I'm gonna ask them what Gwen smelled like and what she and her hubby were talking about....

I thought it was one of the best Grammy shows ever. Although, I thought a jam session of the lifetime achievement award winners would have been better than the southern rock tribute. Can you imagine? Pinetop Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Led Zeppelin??? Hell, yeah!

Okay, going back to read your comments....

They're brilliant live, such presence and energy. I have the European VMAs on DVD and Franz was awesome. Love them!*

I? Thought that was hilarious, cause I think she's way better than they are. Yes, it was rude. It was a funny face, though!
They seem nice, though, (LLBs) and you gotta speak for your boys, just like I just spoke for my girl.

I really can't believe she did that. Maybe she is on drugs. Was Gavin with her BTW?

I can. I actually think it wasn't that obvious, she was mostly smiling until that little "eye expression w/lip curl" sneaked in at the end. She was trying to be gracious, her face is just too expressive. to Gwen, from Amber

Ohh, yeah, I can see that, hehe. I love Gwen too. I'm bummed I missed her performance. She is another GF who could use a steak though, IMO!

It seemed to me like she was expecting Los Lonely Boys to pay attention to her, like try to shake her hand or something so she could be the gracious loser. When they didn't even notice her, that sneer came out - gracious loser be damned!

I don't think so. It's possible, I guess. But...for all we know she coulda found something in her teeth right then, I thought the whole thing was pretty subtle. I would definitely be a Gwen apologist, though, I love her, and thought whatever it was, it was funny. (if not very cool).
