My grammy reactions....

Franz/BEP/Gwen Medley: Couldn't stop laughing at the lead singer for Franz's haircut. The song sounded wierd, too. Black Eyed Peas need to shut the mouth. Gwen was ok...boring.

U2: Love that song on the album, but the performance was boring and Bono didn't sound very good.

J-Lo/Mark Anthony: WHY and also WTF

The Southern Rock Tribute: Sounded horrible. McGraw and Gretchen Wilson were completely off.

Tim McGraw: Did we really need another performance by this guy? The song blows.

Alicia Keys/Ray Charles Tribute: Butchered "Georgia."

Green Day: Kicked ass! NOT LIP SYNCHING, DISS. I refuse to believe that. Billy Joe sounded live to me.

Queen Latifah: Loved it. Love her.

Melissa Etheridge and Joss Stone: Melissa rocked! She was amazing. And while I don't care for Stone, she was good too.

ACROSS THE UNIVERSE SOUNDED LIKE ****.

John Mayer: Can't stand to watch that freak sing! And the song is terrible.

Usher & James Brown: UGH.

Bonnie Raitt: Amazing.

I really like the Black Eyed Peas for some reason and it's music I would normally not be caught dead listening to. They're funky and I love Fergie. Seem like fun people, too.

I just know Gwen does drugs...

It was painful. Less is more, asshole. Jamie Foxx grates on the nerves, too, eh?

You're all high. If that wasn't lip-synching, I'm not human.

I don't think Joss Stone knows what pitch is. She did the same histrionics on Divas Live, too.

The dress accentuated her hips which isn't good. She is tiny but it just was not a flattering cut at all.

Oh sh*t I missed that. Go Ellen! Portia is gorgeous. Go Portia! Ellen is sexy and funny as hell AND a good person. But yeah, camera peeps, get over it!

Well, they're ok. I admit, I do like a few of thier songs. I'm just tired of seeing them.

You are probably right. And was it just me or is her dancing..bizzare?

Exactly. And what's with that freakish back-of-the-head-tattoo?? Keys oversings as well. Someone needs to tell her to tone it down.

Hmm I didn't think she sounded too bad. Then again, I wasn't really listening to her...all my attention was focused on Melissa so...

There's a greatest hits comp out there called "The Bonnie Raitt Collection" with all of her early stuff before she hit it big with Nick of Time. It's worth getting for her duet with Sippie Wallace on "Women Be Wise."
I'm listening to her 1973 Takin my Time which has Cry Like a Rainstorm on it and is a must have IMO. That one doesn't seem to be on "The Bonnie Raitt Collection".

Holy sh*t there's a raggae style song on here! "Wah She Go Do!" "I could understand why a woman have to have a outside man."

The SF chronicle just SKEWERED the grammy's. It's pretty funny if anyone wants to go to sfgate and read it.
This is For Diss - They disemboweled everyone in the opening act part, but then they said "But how did Franz Ferdinand end up in that unholy mess?"

Thanks, dear.

"How Franz Ferdinand ended up in that mess is as big a mystery as Queen Latifah's red satin dress."

Don't they speak the truth, boys and girls. They're too good for that ****. And I just heard that their four song medley was axed at the last minute because the producers were worried the show was too long.

OMG, I'm dying, Amber:

Green Day won for best rock album and behaved less punk than Tim McGraw, obediently thanking its label, radio and a bunch of other boring people nobody cares about. Prince had enough sense to stay at home, despite winning for best male R&B vocal performance and traditional R&B vocal performance.

Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez made their live debut together on a stage designed by Bed, Bath and Way Beyond with a script provided by the soap opera writers at Telemundo, while Tyra Banks and Hoobastank lured Maroon 5 into certain obscurity with the cursed best new artist trophy.

Kanye West attempted to justify the hype surrounding his album "The College Dropout" by acting out his death, funeral and embrace with Jesus (whose name he cleverly rhymed with Kathy Lee and Regis) during his performance, before walking off with the award for best rap album in style.

THanks for the exact quote. I would have been so happy to hear their medly instead of, oh, about 85 % of the show. Georgia? gone. JLo + guy song? gone. Kanye? gone. There, that should free up enough space right there.

I know, I know, I was dying while i ate my luch/read it. You know I rarely point out articles, but this one deserved a special mention... "Bed, Bath, and Way Beyond" "Cleverly rhymed Jesus with Kathy Lee and Regis"

So they didn't perform at all?

Oh, I can only imagine how good it would have been without those acts... Finding Franz last night was like shoveling through **** to find a cookie crumb, seriously.
