Older? If I'm reading your statement correctly and you are in fact nearly 35...
That makes me younger - only nearly 24. But I'm happy to know I come off as being older than I am...

Which is a real change from my offline life. Since one of the reasons I stopped working for the local school district is because children as young as fifth grade thought I was one of them and wouldn't take me seriously and teachers and faculty assumed I was one of the students and treated me accordingly.

In dissention's defense, not that he needs anyone to stick up for him - he's doing quite well on his own - His "mack truck" statement came during a discussion of Stevie's rather generously endowed rear end. This discussion - and it still blows me away that anybody could take anything in a discussion about butts seriously - was in fact initiated by a comment from a Stevie fan in reference to Stevie's big rear.

Brian "Why cant Stevie be my older sibling...Wait, then I would have the hots for my sister, and that is only legal in Arkansas...Nah, I am glad Stevie ISNT an older sibling now " j???

Why would someone be offended for someone calling her ass what it factually is: big. Beyonce has a big ass, too, is anyone offended now that I've said that? We were talking about Stevie's sexiness, of which I find none when it comes to her, and her big ass is part of the matronly look (along with those Reeblechs, limp hair, and frumpy clothes). She's a pretty woman, but I just don't find her sexy or hot. I'm not into grandma's.

The Mack Truck comment wasn't in good taste, I know this, but it was in jest and I could care less if her ass was narrow or wide because she does nothing for me either way.

Well as far as I know my father and mother both lead even more pathetic lives than mine. Although, my dad did used to go on frequent "fishing trips" and would come home with nothing. But in his defense, I have accompanied him on fishing trips and when he casts the line is more likely to end up in a tree than in the water. Which is fine by me, since my views on fishing coincide with those of hunting.

It was another one. Not "Wind Beneath My Wings" but something similar and squishy about friends if I remember correctly. It was a big hit. I will try to find it.

Interstingly, I think Bette has an average voice with a limited range - BUT she compensates with a WHOLE lot of showmanship, zeal, and passion. I love her!!!

You mean "Friends"? That song is 35 years old, dear.

I think she has an amazing range, she just rarely shows it. To Deserve You proved that. Those notes send shivers up my spine. But I love her voice because she can make you feel the song she's singing and she sells it like almost no one else can. I adore her. My grandma was a big fan and I grew up listening to her, so I've been a huge fan since I was in diapers.

Her cover of Delta Dawn is perfection...same with Shiver Me Timbers...

Was she wearing a black and white striped dress in the video? If so, it was My One True Friend.

I think now that you mention it - it was this one.

I wish I could find the interview where she talks about it.

But, I, too, love her music.

I'm sure I have it somewhere in this mess, I have millions of magazine clips and articles. It's pathetic.
