Oh well. I have been, in my offline life, referred to as bitchy, blunt, rude, vicious, mean, cruel, etc. Some people just don't get my sense of humor in any environment.

No - not at all...you just eluded to having some Stevie insults that you held back and I thought perhaps my statement might have intigated the use of one (that's not what I was trying to do - I just feared it might have come across as like that rather more light and jovial - which is what I was going for)

I find it hard to believe they do not at all as it or other programs are the satus quo these days and it is not just a manipulator of vocals. But, if not - good for them.

i agree - though La Nicks produced her voice too much on TISL.

Aimee has said that she thinks artists who use pro-tools are putting on a front and that if they really had the talent, they wouldn't feel the need to use them. When Bette made the Clooney tribute album, her and Manilow decided against using any real studio gadgets and recorded it live with a band, resulting in an almost live album with her plain voice.

I don't begrudge anyone who uses them, but I wish people would release just their true talent and not something achieved with the help of computers.

No, I don't think either sounded very good. I don't view Lindsey Buckingham with blinders, just as I don't view Stevie Nicks with them. He's lost quite a bit of range and his voice can grate a lot, while she's lost even more and tends to drone endlessly.

Well, part of singing is singing, after all. 'Tain't all in the knobs!

The element I don't care for anymore in her voice is the snot element. It sort of churns my stomach when I hear the snot in her nasal passages ricochet around in there. But it also makes her sound very vulnerable -- like a wounded woman -- so that counterbalances the recurrent obstructive bronchial syndrome.

No, I can keep track of who said what to me and you weren't the one accusing me of hypocrisy. Besides that, the joke (and there was only one) was quite specific to one particular Stevie song, which is no longer being discussed.

That is quite possibly the funniest remark I've ever read from you and that's saying a lot, dear.

I still prefer it to the post-cocaine nasal drip sound she had going on during the Tango era. That was sickening.

Well, that is a fine line - I mean where do you draw the line - is gigital recording okay as opposed to analog? AND - I forget which one of Bette's song it was (but it was a biggie) was recorded to totally different music and then they changed the music afterward and tweaked the vocal a little to fit it. It was in the mid 90's and it was a huge dance hit as well in an alt. version. Also, I think and getting back to the issue, Stevie can sing it like she records it. I think she may not be able to sing it every other night for six months afterward, but she is 55 or so years old - thus, I give her a break.

but you never really guff him yet you are comparatively endlessly insulting her and other Ledgies' feeling about her - yes I use insult because your critique is meant to be that and you know it - whether you will admit that or not is another issue

I mean is it really necessary to use words like croak, drone, etc., or to compare her a$$ to a mack truck or whatever it was. Certainly you know when you say that you are hurting people's feelings. yet, you say it - thus, you do not care about doing so

They tweaked "In These Shoes" for the remix. They did the same thing for "To Deserve You" when it came to club mixes. The vocal on the album version is stunning. I don't like the song, but her voice is amazing on it. Saw her do it live in about five years ago and it was even more powerful, I was flabbergasted.

But, in any case, I think it's a bit different when they tweak club mixes.

Well, I prefer his voice to hers and think he's a better songwriter. Of course I'm not going to give him guff as much as I do her.

But I'm not blind to his flaws and drawbacks.
