Um, I was really sad when they showed Laura Branigan singing "Gloria" I wish she hadn't died.

Would Ray Charles have won if he wasn't dead?

I'm afraid I have to agree. Those two are starting to border on overkill. And just think, we have a whole Lance themed album to look forward to in the spring. Yipeee.

And furthermore, what's up with that fugly dress Sheryl?!!? Ugh. She is such an attractive woman, why did she wear that?!!?

And the hair, she needs a warmer tone. That blonde is getting on my nerves.

Loretta Lynn is f'ing fabulous!! Jack White was kinda creeping me out with his gothic country, bug-eyed look but I like him. He's an awesome musician/producer/arranger and it's obvious that he has respect for and works with the best musicians. I love that he worked with Loretta. She is so awesome, she doesn't give one flying f*ck what anyone thinks. Country music radio is a blowjob for not playing her album.

Will check the winners online tomorrow. See if Modest Mouse won anything. Love Good News. Saw them do a live performance on some Comedy Central thing, -- sucked. Oh well. At least I knew Isaac Brock was actually singing and not pulling an Ashlee Simpson.
They won nothing, just like Franz. Wilco won for Best Alternative Album.

She's a true original. I loved her digs at ****ty country radio, they were priceless. And when she said "I want to thank...to thank...um...the Grammy people!" I just about died with laughter. So adorable.

I saw her at the Hatch Shell a few years ago and she was great. I'd like to see her again.

She's soooooooooooooo tiny, too. It blows your mind when she opens her mouth because you have no clue where that stunner of a voice comes from. Her range is mind-blowing!

I was amazed by her energy, she's a little fire ball! And yes, that voice, I've got to get some of her stuff too!

That was the most god awful thing I have ever seen. WTF were they doing? Terrible.
And why oh why did Jimm Page just sit in the audience? Was Robert not available for the evening? Or even David Coverdale?

"the grammy people"...rich. Yeah, it was obvious that she didn't want to talk much up there, pulling Jack White around to take the pressure off. I loved it! I especially loved it when she was like, get your ass back over here and he said, "yes ma'am!!" LOVED IT. See the thing is, she so not plays by anybody's rules and standards and the fact that she was so uncomfortable up there leads me to believe that this awards crap is not her thing, which I also respect. She just wants to get up there and sing for people, that's what it's all about. Whatever happened to the music people?!?!!?

I wish she would have performed!
