I don't know about the enlarged bladders (I sure as hell don't have one) but cups and bottles seem to get bigger and bigger all the time...

The grossest was a 44 ounce cup that a co-worker of mine filled with Dr. Pepper every morning....it was HUGE - and she'd drink like several of Dr. Pepper..that really grossed me out....I can barely finisha 12 ounce can of something....if I hvae a huge cup or container I can make it last for days....

As for the spelling, I guess it's like a lot of things--realize and realise, color and colour, and, of course, rumors and Rumours. Anyway, I agree with you on the large bottle issue. I've never been able to understand someone drinking that much of anything in one sitting, not even water, which I can gulp down quite a bit of in one sitting. But this is the land where you can go to service stations and get fountain drinks about that size. (Maybe larger?) And you can go back and get them refilled for, like, 60 cents or something. But America is full of ludicrous stuff, really--look no further than lovely Louisiana, my strange home. It's illegal to drink and drive, but we have drive-thru daiquiri shops.

Yeah, same here. One of my brothers (actually not the same one who eats the cereal with coke in it) went through this phase in which he thought he had to cart around this 64 ounce cup that he would continuously refill with coke or Dr. Pepper. It was just ridiculous to me.

That's what it was 64 oz. - 44 didn't sound big enough...it was a huge monstrosity of a "mug" that's all I remember....it's just gross to think about.

I like soda as much as the next guy - but that much of it? That can't be good for the system....now I nurse a thing of water all day - trying to get in my full 6-8 cups a day...

So, are we to assume the wrong bottle got shipped to the Pepsi plant, and they filled it? I can't see any other way this could happen... Especially since the bottle has a Pepsi cap. Cuz there's no way the Coke people filled the bottle with Pepsi -- it's just not possible.

As for the 64-oz. drinks, I *used* to be an offender. I just couldn't start out my day with a 7-11 Mega-Gulp of fountain Mountain Dew. Mountain Dew in the bottles I can take or leave, but out of a fountain I just can't resist.

And the funniest thing happened to me in the elevator one morning going to work, huge MD and some random snack cake in hand. A lady I knew, but didn't work with, got into the elevator with me. She did a double-take at my drink, got this really worried look on her face, and said, "Are you sick? It looks like you're drinking a kidney test!!!"

My mom works for Coke , and you can fill those things with just about anything you can think of. I have a Coke bottle that she filled with M&M's, and had a cap put on it. It wouldn't be that hard for a Pepsi employee to get a Coke bottle and cap, and put it on the line to be filled with Pepsi. Hell, if it's going for that much, maybe I should sell mine with the M&M's in it......

They have it advertised wrong. Look at the picture. It says it's a half liter... And, it looks as if it was sitting on a countertop. It's not 16.9 liters...
