Default The Dance CD

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but -

Does it piss everyone off that the intros to each song on The Dance are actually at the end of the previous track, completely screwing up a random shuffle? Or is it just me?

When my parents still ran their bar, I used to play tunes from the CD on the jukebox all the time - so annoying to hear an intro to a song you love, only to have it cut into "Strokin'" or some other crappy tune from some other idiot.

*venting complete*

No, I like it.

When I split up one-track shows, I always do that because if I want to skip to a song, I don't want to hear the piss and **** that comes with introducing it.

Yes - at a bar I used to frequent in Austin, I was actually forbidden from selecting anything from The Dance on the jukebox. It used to drive everyone else there crazy.

Personally, I don't mind it, because I rarely listen/listened to the disc in its entirety. But yeah, if you're only listening to a few select tracks, it's pretty friggin annoying.

Oh, I agree - as far as bootlegs go. Like when there's a hideously long guitar or drum intro to a song, like Stand Back, I like to be able to skip past it & get to the song itself. But NOT on The Dance. It's a peeve of mine.

I agree! I hate that. And is not only the Dance. LIVE CD is the same. And other bands live CDs, I hate when they cut the previous speech (not really cut but they produce that effect)

I ride the fence on this. Sometimes I want the voice intro, other times I want to skip right past it and get to the meat of the song.

YES! It makes me mad too! When I have it on iTunes I can hear like the beginning to an FM song and then it will cut into something else and I'll like "Okay...I wanted to listen to that!"

The two most annoying ones:

Lindsey's speech after Temporary One. I wanna do a Best Of Chris CDR, but I need a T.O. without that stupid speech.

Another Lindsey speech after SYLM. It's the best version of that song....and the ending is ruined.

Thank goodness I have the Landslide Maxi-Single. It cuts off Chris' spill.

You can always download or purchase a program such as Cool Edit Pro that allows you to edit music files. Very handy.

My computer can't take anymore downloadable programs. It will die.

Your posts often crack me up and it's usually because they're so true! Yes!! I hate this!! I'm sick of hearing Lindsey's "isn't that WEIRD?!!?" speech after "Temporary One" on one of my various compilation c.d.'s every time it comes on automatic shuffle. It totally drives me crazy.

Oh, me too! So I'm not the only one making Christine CDs and getting annoyed by that. They need to record another version of "Temporary One."

I did the same thing too. But, I had to leave off "Temporary One" because of Lindsey's speech at the end. So I ended the CD with "All Over Again" instead.
