I know, right? I read that they had to cut a lot of **** out or else it was going to be slapped with an NC-17. But it was still nasty as an R.

Another nasty and truly, truly horrifying scary flick is Haute Tension. I couldn't sleep for days after I saw it and made sure all windows and doors were locked at night.

The only movie that ever kept me up after I saw it was The Day After. That scared the **** out of me.

It's TRIPPY and DISGUSTING. But you'll probably love it. And the ending is a real kick in the balls, you'll never see it coming.
I thought it was so durn freaky that it was awsome! Gave it props for being different.

The end shocked the bloody hell out of me!

Tell me about it. I so didn't expect any of that to happen. It took me a few minutes to comprehend it all.

But that scene with Shawnee Smith where she has her head in that clamp and has to get the key out of that guys stomach? Ho****. I lost my popcorn.

I liked that movie AND I figured it out about 3/4 of the way through it - what that says about me I have no idea and I think I do not want to know

I don't believe that for a second!

*SPOILERS*

How could you have POSSIBLY known that the guy on the floor wasn't dead and was the real Jigsaw Killer?! You get props, because hot damn, I was blown away.

It was a good movie, though. But that head clamp. My my my. Scary as all get out.

Also, "Seven" was right up there with this flick and IMO "Seven" was sicker than "Saw" solely because of the Lust sin contraption

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I figured it out when the guy in the doctor's bedroom was acting too strange, like he to was caught and trying to get out in time. Then I thought no one could stay still that long. Then I thought why did they show that scene in the hosp. as footage is rarely used in horror films for no reason. Then it clicked.

I didn't like Seven very much. I thought it was absurd and what made it even more ridiculous is the fact that it took itself so seriously. Saw, fortunately, did not take itself too seriously and wound up being a real kick in the jaw. And the ways people died in it were just stomach-churning. That guy in the razor wire? Sheesh. Even Argento didn't go that far in Suspiria!

I didn't think suspiria was very gross or scary, but Saw sounds repulsive.

I think Suspiria is one of the greatest horror movies of all time. Everything about it is just perfection to me. The Goblin score, the bright Technicolor print, the tension, Jessica Harper, etc. I can hardly breathe when I watch it, especially during the opening. Scared the living daylights out of me when I was ten.

Saw is repulsive, but it's got a good story and a great cast. Props to Danny Glover. Though Cary Elwes was a bit too over-the-top at the end for my tastes.

Cary Elwes is in it! It sounds pretty good.
Anyway - I thought Suspiria was great, too, but I saw it for the first time only about 4 months ago. So I don't think it was as scary to me as it would have been had I been younger. Plus, I was entranced by the colors, shapes, lighting, and just overall lovely, grotesque weirdness. And by the music, too.

Elwes got OLD. Thick in the middle and chubby in the cheeks. His whining at the end made me want to saw his foot off to shut him up. But, I still like him.

I have the Suspiria DVD boxed set and it came with the soundtrack. I don't think I've ever played it because it's too scary.

You never played it? I would have to, at least once.
Yeah, i was totally wondering how Elwes looked now. I think I saw him few years ago, In something. I had imagined he puffed up, though I don't know why I think the concept of him is funny, but i do. I don't want to hear him whining, though...
