I think I saw it in a used CD store about 10 years ago...if it's the same one I'm thinking of. 'Simply the Best' is better.

Talking

I loved "When the Heartache is over" too. So, that makes two of us. I do agree with some of the songs on the later album but I feel her deut with bryan adams on 24/7 made up for the lack of quality tracks.

I've seen her twice in concert and both times I was blown away. I don't think of her much as a recording artist but as a live performer. I'd kill to see her if she goes on tour again. "Proud Mary" of course, and on her last tour she did a scorching cover of "I heard it through the grapevine."

The only song I despise is the "Baby I'm a Star" song from the Target commericals a couple of years ago. It's a great song to exercise too, but just a little repetative. Plus I got the message on foriegn affair. She's the best!

Meh...

I saw her on the Today show this morning. I think she's more or less lost her voice. I first suspected as much when 'Wildest Dreams' came out...her voice had lost a little of it's range. I remember some of the promotion she did for that album...Oprah, SNL...I thought she didn't sound very good. And it's just gotten worse. Her performance on that Divas Live thing was kinda sad. Her singing just doesn't have any of it's former power.

And who the hell is giving her these new songs? 'Open Arms'?? It sounds like a boy band reject. (At first I thought she was doing a cover of that Journey song...now, that would've been interesting).

I thought she sounded alright, but the song was atrocious. Personally, I'd be embarrassed to go out and sing that sucker publicly. Truly wretched.

Indeed - Tina'sw voice is similar to S. Perry's only vastly better IMO. Thus, a cover of "Open Arms" would have been a showstopper!!!!!!

I got her new greatest hits a few weeks ago and was pretty underwhelmed by the new songs...same goes for her last album. I love all her other ones though.

Private Dancer is probably one of the greatest albums by anyone! I never really listened to all of Break Every Rule until recently. I'll Be Thunder is so phenomenal I'm kicking myself for never really listening to it before a few months ago. I'd say it's on par with Private Dancer as her greatest song.

Steel Claw and 1984 are both sheer greatness

Hmm, well I think I've used the word great enough times in one post But how else can Tina be described

That would be great if she did tour again. But I doubt she will, she's kinda like Chris, hell bent on just making the music and not touring...which is cool!

Thumbs up

Wow, I thought she retired! That's great that she's kind of coming back. I have a couple of her albums. I really like her. I wouldn't mind seeing her in concert. The times I've seen her on TV, she's always seems full of energy & puts on a good show.

Well, she's "retired" about three times. But, I don't really see her doing another tour at this point. She's 65 years old, after all.

She definitely could've pulled it off 10 or 15 years ago. I'm not so sure about now.

I like most of Private Dancer, like I said. Break Every Rule is spotty. "I'll Be Thunder" and "Paradise Is Here" are both *great* songs, though.
