Or the 9/11 version of "What's Going On" or that "Do They Know It's Christmas?" song or any of those things. Ugh. *Tries to pretend she didn't buy the "What's Going On" CD*

Anyway, my show has some performers who probably wouldn't even like each other. Also, I imagine some wouldn't want to sing at a benefit for the HRC and GLAAD. But this is a fantasy.

Fleetwood Mac (with Christine)
Bob Welch (must do "Miles Away" and "Forever"!!!)
Ani DiFranco
Carly Simon
Kim Richey
Sting (even if he is an ass, he at least has to do "All This Time" or something!)
Reba McEntire (she'd do it for a gay organization, right?)
Cher (of course)
The Beatles (yes...all four! I can dream!)
Patty Loveless
Barenaked Ladies
Imani Coppola
Alison Krauss
Gloria Estefan
Celine Dion (her English material is off-limits at my benefit--she can only do her French material)
Savage Garden (they're getting back together for my benefit)
Rachel York (she is only allowed to perform Sondheim)

I looooove Fogerty. Yes he would have to be on the bill. I was just driving around yesterday singing "Oh lord, I'm stuck in Lodi again."

I'd throw a big festival advocating the dismantling of the U.S. Department of Education, & I'd line up The Partridge Family, Tavares & Paul Carrack to play a day-long concert at Carlsbad Regional Park.

I'd also try to get the Four Tops to play "Ain't No Woman" & "Working My Way Back," but they'd probably decline.

Thumbs up Oh man...

My festival would be soooo freakin' wicked!!

It would be a 4 day festival, and there would be 3 theme nights.

Pop/Rock night:

Lindsey Buckingham
BBMak
Duran Duran
George Michael
Justin Guarini
The Monkees (ALL of them, dammit.)
Pink Floyd (ALL of them, dammit...even Sid!)
No Doubt
A-Ha
John Mayer
Journey

Country night:

Keith Urban
Dolly Parton
Ronnie Milsap
George Strait
Clint Black
Alison Krauss and Union Station

Christian music night:

Amy Grant (she MUST wear her leopard coat!!)
Michael W. Smith
DC Talk
Newsboys
Jars of Clay
MxPx
Petra
Plumb
Nouveaux

On the fourth night, they ALL get to do 2-3 songs a piece throughout the day and night....with Lindsey on stage with Keith Urban and David Gilmour for a finale of Days Go By, Comfortably Numb, ending with ISA!

Oh, and all proceeds go to.....me.

Default Renaissance Faire/Benefit concert

I would have a Ren Faire and the concert would benefit children in need whether it is a homeless child or a runaway teen needing help with their homelife or needing counselling so they will become adults with good jobs and help make this country a better place to live.

I would like to see:

Fleetwood Mac
Stevie Nicks-solo
Lindsey Buckingham with Stevie and solo
Tom Petty with Stevie Nicks singing
Sheryl Crow (with Stevie singing sometimes)
MatchboxTwenty
U2
The Corrs
Elton John (dressed up for the faire of course)
Duran Duran
Heart
Linda Ronstadt
Eagles (Stevie and Don Henley singing)
Tears for Fears
Simple Minds
Simon and Garfunkle
The Rolling Stones
Barry and Robin Gibb
George Michael with the group Queen (no jokes please!) George can really sing those songs pretty good.

Boy, does this really age me?
